This chapter contains death.

--

The sky was dark, completely black and nothing could be heard around.

*Click, clack, click, clack*

Only the fade sound of Taeyong's footsteps rang to his ears every time he decided to land his feet on the concrete surface of the pavement he was walking at. The man wasn't brave, the exact opposite actually...

He was afraid of the dark, the unknown scared him and especially...right now...he could feel his heartbeat increasing with every step he took.

Silence. That was the only thing the man could hear besides his steps and heartbeat.

Silence, a dense layer of silence. He wanted to break it, but was afraid to.

He breathed out loudly, and noticed his shadow disappearing on the obscure road, becoming one with the concrete material.

But where was he? What was he doing there so late?

He was there to complete a mission. What mission?

He wasn't sure about that.

~

"H...Hello?"

"Hello Taeyong. I'm Simon and this is our 3rd mission and the 16th one in total."

The man gulped harshly, not wanting to hear the continuation. He couldn't even utter a word, for some reason the words got stuck at the back of his throat.

"Your mission Taeyong..." Simon continued. "Is to visit the park outside of the city, the same park where Jungwoo died at."

What?

What was this about?

"W...what?" He finally managed to ask.

"I want you to go there Taeyong and..." Simon stalled, his electronic voice penetrating Taeyong's drums. "Learn the truth. About Jungwoo's death."

"What...?" He asked. "Jungwoo's murderer was...was someone that's in the park?!" Taeyong said, afraid of knowing the truth.

"There's only one way to find that out." Simon replied and closed the phone.

"WAI-" Taeyong wanted to stop him but couldn't.

He had no other choice but complete this mission.

He needed to learn the truth, behind Jungwoo's death.

~

Holding a knife on his right hand, hidden under his jacket, Taeyong continued walking.

The weather was cold, and so was the air, but for some reason the air was quiet, slowly evaporating into the dark night.

It wasn't the first time that Taeyong was coming to this park, but he hadn't visited it for a while.

After walking some more he saw a lake.

A lake was decorating a large area of this park.

He tilted his head right and looked at the lake for some more. The man remembered this lake, in fact he used to visit this specific place every time he wanted to relax...when he was younger that is...

He started walking closer to the lake, stepping on some dirt while doing so, but he didn't mind, even if his shoes got swallowed more and more with every step he took into the unsteady mud, he wasn't going to give up. It had been really long since he last saw this lake, he wanted to look at it better.
