The screams of the citizens fill me with confidence. I can do this. I can win, I think as they cheer for Adam and I. We wave to them, smiling and cheering with them.
A boy throws me a flower, and I catch it. It's a Chrysanthemum. I love Chrysanthemums. I look up to thank him, maybe blow him a kiss or something, but he's gone. I frown a little, and then I keep on waving, holding my Chrysanthemum.

I place my Chrysanthemum in a vase and put it on the dresser in my room. It's a orange one, my favorite kind. It's like an orange-peel orange. And, surprisingly, it's my favorite color. Everyone thinks it's something dark like black or purple, because I always wear dark clothes. But it's really orange. I don't know why... I just love the shade. It reminds me of happiness, of hope.
I walk back to the dining room. We're supposed to have dinner, but I wanted to put my Chrysanthemum in water first. I sit down at the table, piling food onto my plate.
"So," Beetee says, getting out attention. "I need to know. What are you best at? Or with, I should say." He's looking at Adam first.
"A spear." Adam replies, stabbing his food.
Beetee looks at me. "Throwing knives." I tell him. He nods.
"When you get to training, don't show your strengths. Adam, try something else. No spears. Try a bow." Adam nods, and Beetee continues, "C, try a sword."
"But... But I'm horrible with swords!" I protest. I know we're not supposed to show strength, but I don't want to look weak.
"Exactly." Beetee says. "Try something different. I recommend trying those first, then move onto something else. Don't just stick to weapons. Try some of the survival stations too. Trust me, you'll need them later."
"Of course!" I reply, "Why wouldn't you try the stations?"
"Some tributes stick to weapons and skip them. A couple of them have won, but barely. Most of them don't make it." Beetee says, "So I'd check out those stations."
