Astrid POV

I walked into the detention room with Stormi by my side. I looked around the room and saw Ashley, Ethan and a couple other students were already sitting in their seats. *Is that the name I gave the heartthrob cuz I can't remember and 2 lazy to check.*

"Right students, I hope you brought some homework or something else to entertain yourselves," Mr Strickler, our History teacher, said while we sat down.

*Is anyone else seeing the Trollhunters reference?;) Haha!*

"I expect all of you to behave yourselves for the next 2 hours," Mr Strickler continued. "I will be in my office across the hall and if I hear any noise coming from this room, I will make sure you all get Saturday detention!"

Mr Strickler left the room, leaving the door open. Once we heard him sit in his chair, hushed conversation erupted in the room.

Ashley leaned over towards Ethan and batted her long eyelashes at him: "So cute-ass, doing anything later?"

"Surprised her eyelashes haven't fallen off yet!" I sniggered under my breath.

Stormi let out a loud laugh which earned her a scowl from Alex Bailey, school nerd and whiz-kid.

"Do you guys seriously want detention tomorrow?" Alex asked while straightening her headband.

"Jeez, chillax Bailey," Ashley drawled and then smirked. "Why are you anyway in detention? Forgot your school books at home and turned yourself in?"

Ashley laughed but Alex just rolled her eyes and turned away.

"Uuuhg I can't believe we have to deal with this for 2 hours!" I said, covering my face with my hands.

"Well, how about we do something instead of just sitting here?" Ethan said while leaning away from Ashley.

"Good idea Ethan!" Ashley said, leaning as close to Ethan as she could without falling off her chair.

"And what exactly are we supposed to do in a classroom? In a school? That is fun?" Stormi asked.

"I was thinking we could play spin-the-bottle," Ethan said, winking at me.

"Oh hell no!" I yelled as soon as the words escaped his mouth. Everyone in the room turned around in their seats and shushed at me.

"How about Truth or Dare?" Stormi suggested.

I shrugged. "Sounds good to me"

Stormi turned around and announced in a loud whisper to the rest of the students. "Who wants to play Truth or Dare?"

Silence.

"Well I guess it's just us then," she murmured.

"Great, I'll start!" Ashley said and put her finger on her mouth to decide who she picked. "Somayaaaaa! Truth or Dare?"

"Uuh, truth."

"Is it true that its your fault that I landed in detention today?"

Me and Stormi slapped our hands against our faces. We should've known it wouldn't be a peaceful 2 hours with Ashley.

"Look, Ashley, we came here to spend detention peacefully here so that we don't get detention tomorrow." I said crossing my arms.

"It was just a harmless question Astrid. No need to be so rude." Ashley looked at me innocently, batting her eyelashes.

Uuhg. I'm gonna puke.

"Well, to answer your question Ashley," Stormi said with the same innocent tone to her voice, "No, it isn't my fault that we both are here. In fact, if you didn't trip me, we wouldn't even be having this conversation."
