A month later

Yes, when I got back home, Julia and Ted lost their shit. But they found the boy's rescuing me funny, so instead of grounding me for the entire summer, they just grounded me for a month. Funny enough, the day I'm "freed" is July 4th. Today. Thankfully, my birthday's on the sixth, so I get to have a party.
I joyfully put on a long, red skirt and a blue and white polka dot sweater. I match it with black flats and practically skip downstairs. Not before saying goodbye to my absolute best friend, Mickey the Bunny.
"Your boyfriends are here," Ted says from the door.

I walk to the door and see all seven boys standing there. Yes, they'd try to sneak up into my room, but Ted moved the latter. But Julia did let me out for Two-Bit's birthday.
"Y/N, you look... great," Pony smiles when I hug him.
"Thank you," I smile back.
After hugging them all, Darry drives the eight of us (yes we had to squeeze into the car) to a fireworks stand.
"Let's blow shit up!" Johnny cheers, surprising us.

"Hell yeah!" Two-Bit nods.
They look like children in a candy store as they all pick out fireworks that Steve's buying with the twenty dollars my parents gave him. Steve gabe us each $2.50, and I brought an extra ten bucks, but I still decide to steal a few things.
I pocket two ten pack of cherry bombs. (spherical fireworks that you light then they explode. they're illegal now)
I look around and see color smoke bombs. I pocket and twelve pack and decide to look for something to actually buy.

Since I wanted a lot of things, I grab a paper bag and throw in some sparklers, fountains, pop pops, roman candles, and flashing signals.
After I finish paying, I walk outside and catch up with the boys.
I throw the fireworks into my satchel purse, and throw the bag away.
"How'd you get so many?" Johnny asks.
"Not the legal way," I shrug.
"Attagirl, Y/N," Dally grins.

"I just really like explosions," I smile.
"Aww, how cute," Soda says, "She's crazy about blowing stuff up."
"You have any idea the amount of damage we can do to the socs?" Two-Bit grins.
"Let's blow up their neighborhood!" Soda cheers.
"Guys, I live there," I remind them.
"You can just move in with us," Ponyboy jokes.
"Yeah right," I laugh, "Live in a house with teenage boys? Plus, there's no room."

"We have a storage room across from my room," Darry says.
"I thought that was a closet.." Soda looks at him.
"It.. is," Darry lies.
"Jokes aside," I interrupt, "You know what we should blow up?"
"David's ugly face?" Steve guesses.
"The school," I answer.
"Holy shit, you genius!" Dally gasps.
"That's not the best idea," Darry tells us.

"It'll be fun! I got cherry bombs and smoke grenades!" I tell him.
He stares at me for a second, then I give him puppy dog eyes.
"Fine," He sighs.
"Here's the plan!" I tell the boys, "When the sun sets, we go to the school. They always leave the doors unlocked. Darry stays in the car, while we go and throw cherry bombs and smoke grenades into classrooms. If we hear or see anyone coming, we book it to the car. No one left behind."

The boys agree and while we wait for the right time, we light up our other fireworks.
Johnny and Ponyboy sword fight with sparklers, making sparks fly everywhere. Dally decides we should light a cherry bomb to test it.
He lights it and throws it in a trash can. After a few seconds, the trash can shoots up into the air and crashes down.
"HELL YES!" Two-Bit grins.
"Imagine that in the school," I look up at Dally excitedly.

Finally, the sun sets, and we all go to the highschool. We walk in and start at the back of the school so we can make our way up. Everyone takes out the lighters and cherry bombs and starts opening doors, lighting the cherry bombs, throwing them in, and shutting the door to wait for the bang. Honestly, it really hurt my ears, but it was so much fun. When we got to the principal's office, I threw in three instead of one, just to be sure.
Suddenly, a school security guard grabs Soda's arm. And I light a smoke bomb, and throw it at the guard.

It released red smoke, and the guard starts coughing.
Soda breaks free and we all run to the car.
"FLOOR IT!" Two-Bit shouts.
Darry starts driving to Buck's, and we all go inside.
The security guard seemed to have not followed us, so we go back to the Curtis house.
"Hey, mom," I say over the phone, "Can I stay the night at Pony's?"

"Y/N, are you dating one of the Curtis brothers?" Julia asks.
"Julia!" I gasp, knowing the boys were listening because I put the phone on speaker so that they could hear her answer.
"No, ma'am, I'm sorry, she's actually dating me," Johnny leans over my shoulder, into the phone.
"Oh! Delightful!" Julia claps.
"Julia. I don't have a boyfriend," I tell her, "But can I please stay the night?"

"Fine," Julia sighs, "And one of you boys better get Y/N before it's late."
"Bye, Julia, love you," I say quickly and hang up the phone and look at Johnny, "Johnny Cade."
He smiles and and walks to the long couch. I roll my eyes.
"How about a game of truth or dare?" Soda suggests.
"No way, last time we played truth or dare, you guys tried to make me kiss all of you," I shake my head.

"Well you can pick truth," Steve tells me as they form a circle.
"But there's no fun in that," I frown.
Darry went to bed because he had work the next morning. Steve and Soda moved their shifts from morning to night. Julia agreed to let me work part time with them starting tomorrow.
"Truth or dare," Dally asks Two-Bit.
"Truth," Two-Bit says.
Weird. He's not the 'truth' kinda guy.

"Wussy," Dally mumbles, then his face lights up, "Why'd you run out of Buck's after being in the closet with Y/N?"
Two-Bit turns red and looks down. I get confused, because I was wondering why as well.
"I uh.. had a guy problem," He answers.
"Did Y/N cause it?" Dally smirks.
"Just the wrong place at the wrong time," Two-Bit shakes his head.
"What're you talking about?" I ask.

"You made Two-Bit get a-" Ponyboy was about to explain, but Two-Bit slammed his hand down on his shoulder, "Ow!"
"Ponyboy, truth or dare?" Two asks.
"Dare," Ponyboy rubs his shoulder.
"Kiss Johnny," He grins.
"Johnnyboy!" I clap, and everyone looks at me funny, "It's my ship name."
"What the hell's a ship name?" Dally asks.
"It's short for relationship," I answer.
Ponyboy rolls his eyes and kisses Johnny, who was now a bit pink.
