The Half-Blood Quintet ( A Percy Jackson Fanfic)

Chapter 13.

3rd person POV

      -" How do you feel?"Aaron asked Ezra.

      -"Im fine its just, Im scared, of what might happen to us"Ezra said " I mean, we are powerful demigods and I am afraid that if I loose it Ill-"

      -" Don't think about that, demigods that loose control and are blinded by anger can be dangerous but you aren't that kind of person" he said as he patted her shoulder.

      -" I don't believe you" she said as she pulled out her light sword " This sword was caused by me not being concentrated, imagine what might happen if I actually want to hurt someone".

      -" Like you did during capture the flag" A unfamiliar voice said behind them and before turning around, Ezra steadied her sword. Two girls, one with raven black hair and grey eyes and the other with Caramel hair and brown eyes, finally, a tall boy with amber eyes and black hair.

     -" How could you?" The girl with the grey eyes said "You talk like you are too innocent to hurt anybody while you hurt dozens , have you ever thought of yourself as selfish?".

     -"Stop, leave me alone" Ezra said as the tears filled her eyes.

     -"We cant, I'm sorry. You are going to pay for all the people that you have hurt"The boy said, as the girl with caramel hair threw a disk of some sort at Aaron and he fell to the ground as if being tasered.

     -" Aaron!" Ezra said as she dropped her sword and tried to run towards her friend but was stopped by a stone wall in front of her. As she felt the ground below her starting to deflate, she listened to the screams of her friend painfully. She thought of Connor, Marie and Kai, they would come to help them, they had to. 

Slowly, the ground below her stared to swallow her in, she grabbed her sword and realized she couldn't move, her feet where sinking. She threw her sword and it landed on the caramel haired girl's arm (she was aiming for the leg but then again, throwing things was not her best skill). As the girl cried in pain, the ground below her stopped sucking her in and after little effort, she got her feet out of the dirt. 

She called her sword back to her (she found out she could do that when her sword fell and she tried to use the force to get it like in star wars and it ACTUALLY WORKED) as she started analyzing her enemies.

 The girl with the caramel hair seemed to have many devices in her bag but even though she was hurt, Ezra thought she could be a threat.

Next, the raven haired girl, she seemed to carry both a sword and a dagger meaning she had to be skilled at both and from her grey eyes, she seemed like a daughter of Athena meaning that she must be the leader of the group.

Finally, the tall guy. He seemed to have a lot of upper body strength and was carrying a sword so she should go for the legs.

Wow, when did I become and Athena kid? she asked herself.

     -" Give her some ambrosia and nectar, I'll focus on the task in hand" the tall guy said as he drew his sword. Ezra started backing up and when she finally reached the wall, the tall guy charged, he slashed his sword towards Ezra's hips but she made sure to dodge it and before he could register her dodge, she slashed towards his sword with so much force, he stumbled back, startled. His sword started melting in some parts and as he stared at it, Ezra charged and slashed his leg as he tried to go for the head. Instead of blood, a large burn appeared on his leg and he stumbled back, falling on a log as he grasped his leg in pain.

Ezra slashed her sword through the wall as she felt some pain in her arm and found the girl with grey eyes had thrown her dagger at her arm, cutting straight through her skin and landing on a piece of disheveled rock. Ezra was so focused on helping her friend, she ignored the pain and rushed to Aaron's side. 

A disk had plastered itself on Aaron's chest and once Ezra took it off, her friend passed out. She looked back and saw the girl with the grey eyes running toward her with her sword drawn. Ezra was too tired to summon a beam of light so she knew she would have to fight it old style. 

     -"Don't you have 2 friends over there that need you?" Ezra said, Nelly's eyes widened with guilt but she shook that thought off her head.

     -" Haven't you hurt enough people already?" Nelly said as she tightened the grip on her sword.

     -" I am only acting in self defense" she said, Nelly laughed.

     -" Self defense? Tell that to the kids that will never be able to see again thanks to you" Nelly replied. Ezra bit her lip. Nelly ran towards Ezra, her sword raised high and as Ezra stood up and grabbed her sword and prepared to fight once more. 

Nelly slashed her sword against Ezra's cheek while Ezra stabbed her leg. Both girls fell back in pain but Ezra regained her strength quicker and disarmed Nelly. As she laid on the ground, Ezra walked beside her and threw her a packet of ambrosia.

     -" Stay away from me and my friends" Ezra said to Nelly as she went to go and pick up Aaron. 

     -" Your a threat" Nelly said, out of breath " You say you defend yourself and your friends, but at what cost?" Ezra ignored her and walked away with a passed out Aaron, now she knew what it felt like.
