Song of the Chapter:
Earned it- The Weeknd

Serena stared into Kalins scared emerald eyes as he stuttered to explain himself. Words were beginning to slurr together, and things began to move in motion as Serena looked, from Kalin to Savannah. 'Who was I?', she thought to herself as she could feel water dripping from out her eyes. Savannah wore a fake apologetic frown on her face as she desperately tugged on Kalins shirt, attempting to apologize. Serena wiped the tears off her face and took steps towards the side of the table, outstretching her hand to Kalin. He, confused as ever, held onto it as he got up from his seat. "You're a pathetic excuse for a girl", Serena said at last before leading Kalin outside and into the car.

"I'm gonna die", Amanda said to Myles. They were outside the bowling alley, he was teaching her to skate. Myles laughed loudly as he helped her onto the skateboard, "You will be fine, don't worry, I have you", he said. Looking into his smiley eyes Amanda felt a wave of excitement run through her body. "Ok just go slow" she said back to him softly as he began to walk forward, holding her hand she slowly moved along with him. "I'm doing it!! I'm doing it!!!", Amanda shouted loudly, "let go of me Meelz I can do it!", she shouted once more. Myles didn't listen to her as he only intensified his grip on her wrist as she moved faster. Air rushed through her hair as she skated through the lot, an adrenaline rush kicked in. Let go myles, I promise I'm ok", Amanda said loudly, shaking her hand in attempt to get him to let go. "Are you sure?" He asked twice. "Yes! Let go!!" She said as he slowly but surely let go of her. The board immediately went to a speed ten times faster than what it was when he was holding her hand. Unable to bring it to a stop amanda began to panick, kicking her feet down in attempt to slow it down. With that only making things worse, she fell face forward onto the cement, followed by a thunder of laughter.

If Kalin knew anything about Serena it was to never bother her before she cooled off. The car drive back to her place was silent. Not the comfortable silence that usually filled the air, but a cold silence that sent chills down his spine. Upon parking his car in front of her house he expected to hear the loud slam of his car door as she would leave without saying goodbye. However, to his surprise she turned to him and looked him deep in the eyes. He stared back into her eyes and as she reached out for his hand he held on to hers tightly. "You're going to tell me why", she asserted with a straight face.

"You.. Fell.. And.. I.. Told.. You..", Myles said in between fits of laughter. Amanda patted the top of her head with her hand as she rolled her eyes at him. "Man you should have seen your face before you fell", Tyler said, while chiming in with the laughter. Amanda chuckled, thinking back at the situation, "you guys are such asses" she said playfully to the two of them. They had been sitting outside the bowling alley since they'd gotten here. Myles told her it was because he needed air but Amanda knew in the back of her head that, that was a lie. The sight of Serena and Kalin being together would always make him uneasy, and Amanda didn't know how that made her feel. She turned to him as she felt his hard stare on her. Amanda smiled as their eyes met, contagiously causing a cheesy grin to appear on Myles's face. "Why are you smiling?" She said to him after a few moments. "Because you're just so darn pretty, that's why" he said as he reached for her hand.

"We weren't together", Kalin said with his eyebrows creased together. Cold silence filled the car once more. "Well we aren't together right now either but you don't see me making out with my ex boyfriend" she said calmly staring at him blankly. Unable to think of something to say back to that, Kalin looked at the ground. Everything in Serena wanted to scream. She wanted to knock some sense into him, make him realize what was right in front of him. But she couldn't, he would just push her away. He built these walls up so high, Serena felt lucky enough getting to know him as well as she did. The last thing she needed was going back to the way things were before. "Kalin, I'm talking to you, I'm trying, so please work with me" she said once more. Kalin looked up from the ground and looked her into the eyes, "what do you want me to say to you Serena?" He said frustrated, "what do you want from me". Serena's face grew hott at the sound of his idiotic question. "I want you to tell me why you would make out with her? I thought we were on the same page, even though we were fighting, I still had feelings for you Kalin" she said, holding her tongue back. "I had feelings for you too, and it was stupid of me to do" he started with his eyebrows creased together again, "but my feelings for you are so overwhel-", He stopped speaking for a moment. "They're what?" She asked him once she realized he wasn't going to continue his sentence. "Forget it, Serena" he said with a stern expression. She could sense a cold vibe bounce off from him. The same one she had gotten the first day she had met him. It was like he cared for her but wouldn't allow himself to embrace it for an unknown reason to Serena. "JUST LET ME BE HERE FOR YOU KALIN, PLEASE JUST PUT YOUR GUARD DOWN FOR A SECOND" Serena shouted to Kalins surprise. Kalins eyes hadn't left hers, still locked together he reached for the hand he had let fall. "Baby, I'm not good for you" was all he said.
