"What's your favorite color?" Kalin said seriously. Serena laughed loudly, "what kind of question is that?" "Oh girl I see you, didn't know we were tryna get deep right now" he replied back, his voice soft but deep. Serena could feel her cheeks going into a soft shade of red, 'thank god it's dark out' she thought to herself and then said "red, my favorite color is red" he chuckled softly "that's what I'm talking about, it's my favorite color to" Comfortable silence filled the air and a familiar tune played loudly from the party. 'How long had they been sitting there?' Serena thought to herself. She felt a tug on her hair and noticed Kalin was playing with her hair. Unwillingly Serena got up, stretching her back before she rested her head back onto kalins lap when his phone rang breaking the silence. It rang 3 times before Serena said, "so are you going to get that?" "No, If it's important they'll call again" if on cue, the phone stopped ringing, then rang again. Kalins cheeks went pink. "Ok now I'll pick it up" they both laughed to themselves and Kalin picked his phone up. "Hello" he said softly.

"I can't find her anywhere Kalin, I'm worried, she said she would be here 5 hours ago" Myles said frantically.

Kalin could feel guilt taking over his body. What was he doing? He knew his best friend liked her.. "I'm sure she's fine bro, if you want I can go to her house, see if she's ok?" Curiousity took over Serena, 'what is going on' she thought. Kalin talked on the phone for a couple more minutes then hung up. He got up, helping Serena up off the floor then looked at her "this never happened ok". Serena felt as if someone shot her in the shoulder, "ouch" Kalin looked at her sympathetically, "look you like myles ok? I don't know what went down over me tonight but it was nothing" like two different people, Kalin switched his cold personality on and it was clear to Serena he didn't want myles to know. " you're right, you were drunk and I helped you out like a dumbass" she said as she walked past him. She fought back the tears that wanted to fall out so desperately. Not really in the mood to party she still decided to go to the party. Myles did like her and she did promise to go. She felt bad but at the same time just wished she could go back two hours and be in kalins arms again. She open the door and took three steps back. The strong smell of alcohol overwhelming her senses. Almost half the school was there, everyone was waving hi to her as she walked past them trying to get to the kitchen. "Hey any of you know where myles is???" She asked Jake and Tyler and cam. All three boys are really close to myles, they have to know where he is. "Yeah he's up in his room crying because you missed more than half the party" Tyler teased. Serena punched Tyler in the stomach playfully, "you're such a jerk"

Serena made it to his room with a lot of effort making way through the people. She was about to knock on the door when she heard voices in the room. " was she ok though??" Myles asked. " yeah bro she said something came up, but she's here, probably somewhere downstairs, so it's all good" just then the door opened and kalins eyes met Serena's. The tension was so real but broke when myles jumped on top of Serena causing her to fall, "SERENA!!"Myles screamed. "Mylessss" Serena said laughing. It was like her life was snapped back into reality in an instance. "We need to talk love" he said seriously. "About..?" Serena's face went straight as she looked from Kalin to myles. "Us" he replied smiling. Kalins face was tense, his jawline sharp as he stormed out of the room. "What was that about?" Myles said laughing. "Idk" Serena mumbled and she closed the door to Myles room. "So what did you need to talk about??" She said faking a smile.

Kalin made his way out of the house and got into his car. Arriving home he took a shower, then changed into his sweatpants. He was so frustrated and angry and just wanted to smash something. Why was she so important? Why do I think about her all the time? How does she have this much control over me? He thought to himself as jumped onto his bed.
