Savannah followed Kalin into the playground portion of the park. "So did you get another text?", Kalin asked as they both took seats at the top of a red swirly slide. "Nope", Savannah said staring back at Kalin who was poking his fingers through all the little holes underneath them. "Who knows, maybe it was just a one time thing?", Savannah suggested. "Let's hope it is", he replied, still not making eye contact with her. Savannah wanted him to say something more, something that meant something, but she knew he wouldn't. They just sat there in silence for awhile longer, before Savannah couldn't take it anymore, "Kalin why'd you bring me up here?", she blurted out curiously. Finally looking up at her, he replied, "Just wanted to make sure you were safe, and ok". Their eyes met briefly and Savannah felt a sense of warmness as his eyes were so friendly and kind, something that was uncommon now a days.

Kalins sparkly green eyes fluttered open to the sound of his alarm. It was their first day back at school and no one, with an exception of Kalin, was excited. He hadn't seen Serena since Christmas, and it was killing him inside. She ignored his existence at Myles's house, and wouldn't pick up or take any of his calls or texts, so seeing her today he knew he had to make things right in whatever way he could. Kalin regretted telling her he was still into Savannah, but felt he owed it to her to be honest.

"Attention all Richmond High students, just a friendly reminder winter formal is this Friday! You can still get your tickets, sold in both the library and student store, hope to see you all there! Thank you", the intercome said. Small cheers of excitement ran throughout the cafeteria, "So dramatic", Tyler said with a soft chuckle. Myles stared at Amanda as a small smile danced around her mouth. "Why are you smiling?", Myles asked Amanda as she turned a light shade of pink, "Nothing", she quickly replied, unsure of how to say she was excited to go considering he hadn't asked her yet. To make things less awkward she turned to Savannah who had her head down. Amanda knew she was upset because Kalin had decided to sit with the other crowd instead of with them, she knew it bothered her because he did it for Serena. Amanda opened her mouth in attempt to comfort her friend, when her phone vibrated.

Seems I'm not the only one who doesn't like them, don't say I never did anything for you (;

The day flew by pretty fast considering it was a Monday. Mikalah didn't like two of her classes but was greatful she had lunch with all her friends. "You gonna eat those??", Cam asked with wide eyes, pointing to the tater-tots that laid untouched on her lunch tray. Mikalah slid them down the table, "only because you asked oh so kindly", she teased. "Where's Serena?", Kalin interrupted. "Kalin, if she wanted to talk to you she would have picked up one of your thousand phone calls", Lyla snapped, "Or maybe one of your million texts". Kalin rolled his eyes at her as he took a large bite out of his apple, as he got up and headed out of the cafeteria.

Lycia paid attention to Amanda who kept staring at her and then back at her phone with a shocked expression. 'Did she?... No, she couldn't have', she thought in the back of her mind. Amanda was tugging on Savannahs pink sweater, as she too began to stare at the phone screen. The two whispered back and forth arguementively, before they both got up from their seats. Lycias heart was racing at 100 mph as they made their way to their table. "Hey Lyla, I don't know if you knew this or not, but maybe you should get a new boyfriend and 'friend' if you could even call her that",Savannah said in a bitchy tone, showcasing the infamous video in front of Lylas eyes, Amanda by her side with her hands covering her mouth. She didn't want to go through with it, it was none of their business, but Savannah insisted. Tears filled Lylas deep green eyes as she looked at Jake. He looked down from shame, not even attempting to apologize, aware that it wouldn't help, only make things worse. "How could you", she whispered in between soft sobs. She then got her tray of food and slowly dumped it over Lycias hair, "cheers to making out with my boyfriend slut", she said harshly before leaving the cafeteria.

Serena closed her laptop as she noticed a tall frame hovering over her. Sighing, she looked up, she had a feeling she already knew who it was. "Serena", he said to her. Her heart dropped at the sound of his familiar voice saying her name. "Kalin, I don't want to speak to you", she lied. "Then don't", he went on, "Just listen". Serena opened her laptop again and continued to pretend like she knew what she was doing, typing nonsense, she wanted him to be under the impression she didn't care, even though she did... almost too much. "Serena I know I told you that I still loved Savannah", Kalin said after collecting his thoughts. Serena rolled her eyes, "thanks, thanks a lot for repeating it but I heard it the first time", she said irritated. 'This was his idea of an apology?', she thought. "But people love more than one person all the time", he said with a confused look. Serena stared back at him with the same expression, he looked as if even he was unsure about what he had said. "Like I love my mom? You love Cara? I love Myles? You love your dad?..", He went on with the examples. "Kalin I get it", Serena inturrpted, trying to see where he was going with it. "Oh yeah okay", he said getting back in touch with reality, "What I'm trying to say is yes, I love her but not the way I love you Serena. I was with her for a year, she helped me get through a lot of dark stuff that I still sometimes go through and you can't expect or ask me to just be able to forget about that, it's just I love you, I love you so damn much it scares me", he said staring at the floor. Without a response from her Kalin believed he completely lost her until she finally spoke, "what do you mean it scares you?", she asked innocently, resting her laptop to the side of her. "It means I've never loved someone like the way I feel about you, and the thought of losing you already hurts me", Kalin said back to her softly. Their eyes locked and it was like they never argued to begin with. Time began to slow down and things began to blur as Serena stared into his twinkly emerald eyes, "Kalin I love you too", she said back to him in Kalins relief.
