"What are you doing up?! It's nearly 2 am Savannah", Amanda whispered as she stumbled into her living room. Being careful to not make too much noise she quietly tip toed to her friend who was staring at her phone with a terrified expression. "Amanda", was all she said back. Amanda snatched the phone from Savannahs hand, "Shes back.", Savannah said dully.

"Merry Christmas!!", Mikalah could hear her parents shout from outside her room, followed with an air horn. "Ugh", she said to herself upon throwing her blanket over her head. 'It doesn't even feel like Christmas this year', she thought as she got up from her bed unwillingly.
After freshening up she made her way downstairs to the chaos she called her family. "Well merry Christmas to you too", her sassy 15 year old sister said as everyone was tearing wrapping paper off their gifts. Mikalah stuck her tongue out at her and took a seat next to her baby sister. "Sooo mom, do you think I could maybe go to Jake and Myles place after we're done here?", Mikalah asked with her fingers crossed. "Mikalah, it's Christmas", her dad pleaded. "Pleaseeeee", she begged as she now knew this was the only way out. Her parents exchanged a look, "fine, but back by dinner, you understand?", her mom said. "Thank you!!!", Mikalah said as she danced around silently. She opened all her gifts in a hurry and then shot up, sprinting towards the stairs, "Oh yeah and Lycia, Serena, And Lyla are sleeping over", she quickly added before getting ready. "Mikalah!!", her parents shouted.

"Wow I look so cute", Lyla said as they all crowded around Kalins computer watching their old music video. Kalin looked at Lyla in disbelief, "what?", she asked him. "Are you really?", he said back to her laughing. The door rang, Amanda and Savannah being the last of the group to show up. Serena rolled her eyes at Savannah as she took a seat on a stool in the kitchen. Everyone mingled for awhile before Kalin and Myles shared their great news with everyone, "I'm soo down", Cam said when they had asked him to record a video for their song. "Can you play it for us?", Mikalah shouted from the pantry while she stuffed her mouth with Cheetos. "Well it's not exactly done yet, we're still working on it" Myles started, "show us some of it?", Lyla asked with puppy dog eyes. "No", Kalin said bluntly, and everyone got quiet. Serena silently observed Kalin as everyone continued to doing their own thing. He seemed tense, and not at ease. He seemed like he was back to the way he was when she first met him.

Jake opened the door to his bathroom slowly, making sure no one saw him leave after Lycia. "About time", she said grabbing him by his shirt. She pressed her lips against his as they began to make out, pulling away after a couple minutes or so because there was a knock at the door, "is anybody in here?", an unfamiliar voice asked. Lycia frantically pushed Jake off of her, "what are we gonna do", she whispered. Jake motioned for her to be quiet as he spoke, "Um yeah I'll just be a minute", he said with a shakey voice. Leaned up against the door they waited for the footsteps to fade away. "I'm leaving, wait 5 minutes before you get out", Jake instructed as he swiftly left the bathroom.

Serena and Lyla both glared at Savannah as she took a seat next to a stiff Kalin on the couch near them. Kalin looked at her like she had a contagious disease, "look I know I'm the last person you wanna hear from right now, but we need to talk", she said with a worried expression. Kalin nodded as they both got up and walked away from everyone else. Curiousity took over Serena as she discretely followed them and stood close enough to ease drop but not be seen.
"What do you mean she's back?!", Kalin whispered harshly. Savannah shoved her phone into the palm of kalins hand, as Kalin looked up at her as scared as Serena had ever seen him. 'Was she getting texts too?', Serena thought to herself.

"Have fun at your sleepover lils, night I love you", Jake said into the phone before he turned his side lamp off. Christmas was officially over and he couldn't recall ever being more tired. Resting his eyes, he turned over and pulled his blanket closer to him. Almost into a deep slumber the sound of his vibrating phone wakes him up. He sleepily reaches for it, opening his text messages, still half asleep. Squinting, he reads,

Jakes eyes widened as he watched the attachment. Upon his eyes was a video of him and Lycia earlier in the bathroom. Repositioning himself straight up in his bed, he knew he wasn't going to get much sleep tonight.

"Serena you haven't said a word all night!", Mikalah said throwing a marshmallow at her. Serena wasn't in the mood for much, and was forced by the girls to even attend the sleepover. "Sorry guys", she said sympathetically. "Serena im your best friend, you can tell me what's been bothering you", Lyla said. Serena hesitated before sharing the news with her friends but decided it was the best thing to do. However their reaction came unexpected to Serena. Lycia, Lyla, and Mikalah each held a ghostly expression. "Could it be her?", Mikalah started as Lycias phone buzzed with the same mysterious text as Jake. Everyone in the room turned to Lycia, "who was it?", Lyla asked in a concerned tone. Lycia panicked as she threw her phone into her black prada bag, "uhm", she replied, and then paused, "it was no one, just my mom".
