"You didn't think it was fishy at all? I mean Lycia tells us everything, why would she lie? & don't defend her because I know she was lying, that was not her mom!! I'm Lyla Pascal, I could tell a lie from a mile away S", Lyla said to Serena with utmost confidence, as she poured milk into her bowl of ceareal. Serena was in a world of her own, staring out her backyard window. "S!?", Lyla squealed, taking a seat next to her at the kitchen table. "Huh?", Serena asked startled by Lylas loud call. "Serena are you okay? I can tell when you're pretending to be happy, you look like you haven't slept in a week, talk to me", Lyla said with sympathy, hoping to get her friend to open up. Serena's eyes began to water because it was true, she hadn't slept in almost a week, all she could do was think about him. It was like she had a dark cloud right above her head. She spent her days with family, being "happy", and nights in her bed wide awake, missing him. She opened her mouth in attempt to reply before a familiar, chirpy vibe entered the kitchen. "Morning love", Cara said as she wrapped her arms around Serena's shoulders. Serena plastered a fake smile on and turned to her best friend, "morning care bear".
Serena laughed at Lyla as she made gagging faces while Caras back was to them. "Quit it", Serena mouthed silently, still laughing, as Cara asked, "So what are the plans for today?". Serena didn't feel like doing anything as usual, but upon remembering her family was only in town for a little while longer she forced herself to get out of bed and do stuff every morning, "It's anything you guys want to do", she said smiling brightly trying hard not to show how she really felt.

Jake paced around his bed, "Can you please stop going in circles, you're giving me a headache", Lycia asked irritated. It had been 3 days since they received that anonymous text, and Jake couldn't think of anything else. "Well I'm sorry if I'm freaked out, my bad", Jake responded angrily, "If Lyla sees this, man, I don't, I don't know what I'd do", he said again. Lycia's heart sank a little at the sound of him talking about her. Sure, they made out a couple times but Lycia felt a way about him that he didn't feel back for her. "Well she hasn't found out yet so..", Lyla suggested. "What are you trying to say? We just wait for hell to break loose?", Jake refuted, "we have to stop this, before anyone finds out". Lycia laughed sarcastically, "oh yeah and how do you plan on doing that. We pushed her all the way out to another state and yet she still manages to torture us", Lycia said, as shivers ran down her arms upon thinking about 'her'. "Lycia it's not Kaitlin", Jake asserted, "how could she have recorded that video of us? It had to have been someone we know, someone who was there that night". Lycia jumped up, "Jake I have an idea! Remember the security cameras your dad has set up around the house?", she shouted. Without letting her finish, Jake frantically ran downstairs to the surveillance room of his large house, Lycia trailing behind him. Jake punched the password in as Lycia patiently waited. "What's wrong", Lycia questioned as Jake angrily threw the keyboard onto the floor. "All the files have been deleted", he spit out before both Jakes and Lycia's phone vibrated.

"Nice one Kalin", Amanda shouted from the trunk of Myles's truck. Kalin turned to Myles smiling, "thanks Amanda", Kalin said back with a chuckle. "She's a keeper", he said again before Myles snatched the basketball from his hands. "Yeah I know", Myles said as he threw the ball into the air, completely wrong. Missing the hoop, both Myles and Kalin fell onto the floor, rolling with laughter.
Savannah looked up from her phone to see what was going on, "I can't believe you two dragged me here, do you know how awkward this is", Savannah said to Amanda, "not too mention the fact that it's freezing and we look like hobos in the trunk of this car", she added before Amanda could defend herself. "Savannah I had no idea Kalin was meeting us up, and here", she argued playfully, while throwing a small blanket at her, "so it's not so cold", she teased. Savannah couldn't resist smiling back at her dorky best friend, "you're still an ass", she said back, accepting the blanket Amanda threw at her. Snuggling close to it she looked up at the basketball court, only to catch Kalin staring at her with a sly smile on his face. Their eyes locked and almost instantly was it wiped away and replaced with a cold glare. Savannah let out a sigh and looked back at Amanda who had observed it all. "Just give him some time, he'll come around, don't worry Savs", Amanda said comfortingly before she was thrown back by Myles, startling both the girls. Myles was on top of Amanda, the two of them locking fingers, while all that they did was look each other in the eyes and smile. "Oh my god, please tell me you've kissed before?", Savannah asked sarcastically. Amanda felt her face go hott, "When she's ready", Myles said saving the day as he gave her a soft peck on the cheek before hopping out of the high truck. "Savannah, can I talk to you for a second", Kalin intruppted with a deep yet soft voice. Savannah pointed to herself and looked around just to make sure he was talking to her, causing Kalin to laugh a little. "Yes, you Savannah", he confirmed.

"Mikalah you've got to help me", Lyla begged through the phone. "Lils I can't! You know I would if I could but I'm grounded for being out too late on Christmas", Mikalah said back. "This is horrible, Cara is stealing Serena, and Mathew won't stop hitting on me, plus Jake has been so MIA on me these past few days and I don't know why?", Lyla complained. Mikalah heard footsteps getting louder and louder until they stopped completely. "Sorry Lyla I've got to go", Mikalah said quickly, shoving her phone underneath her pillow. Grabbing a book off of her shelf she opened it to a random page, just as the door knob twisted open. "Just thought I'd bring you some chipotle because you've been so good with your punishment these past few days", her mom said as she placed the brown take out bag on top of her desk. "Thanks mommy, and yup I kind of deserved getting grounded anyways", she lied. Her mom laughed not taking her seriously, "one more day Mikalah, you can do it", she said back, "now I'm gonna put some gym time in today before starting dinner, I'll see you in an hour or so", she said again before leaving.
At the sound of the garage door closing Mikalah opened her bowl of chipotle and dug in just as her cell phone vibrated from underneath the pillow.

Mikalah threw the bite of food that was in her mouth out, as she clicked the attachment. 'This can't be real', she thought to herself.
