Jimin puts the pen down and rubs his face. Running a clan was almost the same thing as running a business, there were way too many technicalities. It was more difficult to concentrate with his mind preoccupied with Jungkook. He should have never gone to that fucking party.

Wonder what he's doing. Where is he right now? The thoughts pass through his head nonstop.

"Sir?" one of his men enter the room.

"Yes?"

"Well, Jungkook is back."

Jimin immediately gets up from his seat. "What?"

"He's at the door, we wanted to come to ask you if we should let him in or not."

Jimin walks towards the door. "You didn't let him in yet?"

"No sir."

"Okay, I'll get it... alone," he announces to the other men and walks down the mansion.

Thunder rumbled outside the house as he walked. It was raining quite heavily. Jimin opens the front door with confidence that he would look Jungkook in the eye and tell him to leave. But when he takes one look at the shivering, drenched, doe-eyed, pouting boy, he feels like crumbling into a little pile of dust.

"... didn't know where else to go." Jungkook mumbles and looks down. He looks like he's about to cry and for some reason, the last thing Jimin wanted at that moment was for the man to shed even a single tear.

Jimin sighs and grabs Jungkook's hand, leading him inside. He can feel Jungkook stumble a little, surprised at allowed inside but he soon lets himself be lead. Jimin opens the large door and takes them inside. The room was quite grand, very much like Jungkook's room in the Jeon mansion.

"You can stay in this room. There are extra clothes in the wardrobe. There's food in the kitchen, so after you've freshened up, eat." Jimin says sternly.

He makes eye contact with the shivering man and he looked hesitant to say something. Jimin knew what he wanted to say but the last thing he wanted to hear from Jungkook were the words 'thank you'. That one phrase could ruin their entire dynamic. He's supposed to hate Jungkook for god's sake.

"This doesn't change anything." he quickly adds. "You're still my prisoner, I can do with you as I please and we still hate each other." he finalizes and leaves, slamming the door.

Jungkook walks to the kitchen after getting changed and showering. The lights in the mansion were completely off so it was hard to maneuver around the hallway and try not to bump into things. But luckily after a while of confusion, he made to the large dining hall.

The food was already placed on the table, so he takes a seat and begins to eat. There was nobody around, just him. The sound of muffled thunder rings through the hall as the rain gets worse. Jungkook isn't scared of these trivial things oh no, but what scares him is the spooky thoughts his mind is conjuring up.

He stuffs his face with food as he takes a look at his surroundings and behind him to make sure that he was really alone. Jungkook is not afraid of ghosts, this mansion is just weird. All the Park's mansions are weird, he concludes. After he finishes his food he takes it to the kitchen, washes it (yes, he has manners) and puts it away.

The walk back to his room was scarier than ever and he couldn't seem to find his room, no matter how long he walked and tried to track it. He was lost. He really did not want to sleep in a dark hallway after how his day has been. He turns around a couple of times due to the feeling that something (or someone) was behind him.

The light from the lightning outside spreads inside through the windows, but only for a second until it becomes dark again. His breathing picks up and he starts to run. Could you blame him? These scenes are straight out of a horror movie. He takes a look behind while running which causes him to crash into someone in front.

His first instinct was to scream but as he was falling, the person he crashed into held onto his waist and pulled him back. Jungkook wraps his hands around their neck and pants. For some reason the arms around his torso was making him feel protected, something he hasn't felt in a long time. His subconscious mind decides to enjoy it for longer and hugs them tighter.

"What happened?" the man asks.

Jungkook can tell it's Jimin. By the arms around him, by the scent, by the voice. He knows he should push him and leave but he doesn't want to. He wants to enjoy the feeling, even if it's just for a second more.

"Your mansion is haunted." he lets out.

"Oh." Jimin lets out a relieved sigh.

Jungkook pulls away. "I got lost. Maybe if you were smart you would put directions in this stupid mansion." he huffs and walks way, feeling much more calm than a few minutes ago.

Jimin doesn't really process what had just happened. He came out of his room to get a glass of water and ended up embracing the last person he wanted to see. His chest feels warm and tingly. He doesn't want to admit that Jungkook felt like he was made for his arms.

He stands there like a deranged man, staring into the dark abyss of a corridor. His heart threatened to pound out of his chest. At that moment all he wanted to do was pull Jungkook back in and hug him until they passed out.

He quickly shakes those thoughts away and takes a U-turn walking back into his room. He shouldn't be feeling like this, not to someone he's supposed to hate. The entire Jeon clan is full of filthy traitors and they're trained to be that way as well. Jungkook is no different, he's just the same.

As he closes his eyes that night, he imagines his brother's scream from Bimyeong bridge to remind himself of what people from the Jeon clan are capable of. But soon that image changes to the vision of a boy in the dim light of a party, who's eyes looked like they held the whole universe in them.
