Jungkook did business all over the city but he has never been out of Seoul. He never wondered what it would be like to go back to Busan after all these years because he had been trained to forget. The past is the past, he has to look at the present and the future now. To make himself and the clan stronger.
He checked up on their casino, their clubs, their deals. Everything. That's what made him an efficient leader, he sees everything through first hand. Currently, he was heading to one of the clubs they dealt, with his men. I don't need to tell you what they dealt because I don't want to DIE but all you need to know is that they dealt... things.
It was newly opened and thus needed a bit of help from the clan so they gave it, in exchange for their loyalty. Jungkook made his way out of their black car and into the club. It was night time which meant there was a rush of customers. This was ideal so that people wouldn't see the shady things his men were doing in between all the chaos.
Jungkook let his men take care of the dirty work and went inside the club to observe. There were people on the dancing floor moving their bodies to the song that the DJ was blasting. The bar was filled with people drinking or just sitting and talking to other people. The three bartenders seemed stressed trying to get the orders done and of course, the VIP lounge at the corner with its own bar for people who are... well, important.
Jungkook pushed through the crowd of people in his way to the VIP lounge. The guard immediately let him in without double-checking because, well, Jungkook was important... very important. He made his way to the minibar and ordered a glass of wine.
The place was almost empty. Some people were sitting on the other side looking like they were businessmen catching up as friends. Apart from their chatter, the lounge was quiet. He takes a seat on one of the stools once his wine was placed on the counter and takes a second to admire the red liquid.
He took a sip of his drink and turned in his stool to take a look around the place. The base of the music from the dance floor was thrumming through the walls well enough to make his heart coordinate to it. The people in the other corner seemed to have fun chatting. One of them said something to make the others laugh with their whole chests. Jungkook wondered what it was.
That's when he saw him. His smile brightened up the whole room, his laugh put his favourite sounds to shame, his face glistened with beauty, his stature made it look like he was an angel sent from heaven. Jungkook hasn't seen a greek god but he thinks that this man was it. He couldn't think, He could not perceive his surroundings because at that moment he could not take his eyes off this man.
Suddenly the man's eyes shoot up to Jungkook's and their eyes meet for just a second until Jungkook moves his eyes away and takes a sip of his drink. His reflexes have never been that slow. The stranger's eyes were too captivating to look away in the first place. But currently, Jungkook had a greater issue.
He can feel it. He lets out a shaky breath and tried to calm his heart that was threatening to beat out of his chest. He can feel the man staring at him, drinking him up, moving his eyes all over Jungkook's body. If it was any other person he would've stared back in a threatening manner but with this man he cannot bring himself to even glance his way. Jungkook presses his thighs together and bites his lip to let off some tension.
Something was thick in the air between them but he doesn't know what it is. The man doesn't move his eyes though. Jungkook feels incredibly self-conscious. He wanted to squirm but he felt like if he moved the man would look away. And for some odd reason, that was the last thing he would want.
He takes another sip of wine. There were so many questions in his mind. What was he feeling? Why was the man still looking at him? Why did he like it? He feels as though he was being stripped naked by the man with just his gaze.
"Boss." Jungkook whips his head to the side at the sound of a familiar voice. It was one of his men. "We're done with our business."
"Ok." Jungkook replies finishing his glass. He gets up from his seat and walks out knowing very well that the pair of eyes were still on him.
His mind was completely occupied by the stranger for the rest of the day. Everywhere he looked he could only see his face. He wondered if he would ever see him again, even once. But he eventually shook it off.
He was the Jeon Jungkook. He could not afford to spend his time pondering over a stranger who he's never even talked to. He had more important affairs to attend to. But something that worried him was the unrest of his heart due to that man's presence.
He was brought up to be an emotionless killer who took orders and did things without a second thought. He worked hard for his position in the clan. He had never even thought of any other person in his entire life in the Jeon clan. So why then? Did the stranger have some sort of mysterious power?
Either way, eventually the memory of the man became hazy in his brain. As much as he would have loved to dream about the man, his memory was not built to accommodate people who did not matter. Days passed by normally. He did his business without a single care for anybody's feelings and with ambition.
The stranger became a distant memory. Something that was not even there, something long forgotten... until it wasn't.
