Jungkook got back to the mansion with many unanswered questions in his mind. Being with Jimin brought a lot of change in him. He was seeing things more clearly. But it wasn't strong enough for him to acknowledge what has happened in the past. He still couldn't trust Jimin, betrayal so evidently scarring his heart.
Who was he kidding? He couldn't trust anyone anymore. It felt like he was falling further into a hole, plunging into darkness where nobody could find him. And on top of that Jimin had been avoiding him thoroughly. The younger had never felt more ignored and push aside as he felt then. What happened to all the 'I don't want to hate you' talks?
Everything was still so confusing. Namjoon would tell him to think about himself and figure things out, but he couldn't. The more he tried to think about it the more he felt. And he didn't want to feel. He'd made it years without the need to feel so why then?
After the first day since they got back Jungkook went to a phone shop to give what he found for fixing. He knew that place contained more information than it was letting on and if Jimin wouldn't tell him, he would just have to find out himself.
Days passed by with the older not even sleeping in the same room as Jungkook. Jungkook had seen only glimpses of the man to know that he was still of existence but other than that there was no exchange. Even when he looked around he was no where to be found.
"He's gone for a job." They reply when Jungkook ask the men where he went. But he's been gone for days? What was the job and why would he leave without telling him?
Upon on all the disarray he had almost forgotten about the phone he had given for fixing. It cost him quite a lot but his curiosity would not let him live it down if he didn't see what was in it. Maybe something that connected to Jimin? Maybe something that gave him clues on why Seojun's jacket was lying there or even a peak to what Jimin was hiding.
He goes to the rooftop and hides in the corner to switch the phone on. Nobody had asked him too many questions on where he was going or what he was doing or holding so he was in the clear. He takes a deep breath and holds down the power button.
The wallpaper makes his eyes widen and his hand tremble a bit. It was Jimin but he looked much younger with an older man who resembled him in just the slightest. They were standing side by side on the cliff next to Bimyeong bridge. Jimin was holding up a peace sign and had a smile so wide Jungkook had never even dreamed he would have.
'This place means a lot to me' he recalls the man's soft words.
He quickly swipes up, thankfully the shop removed the password (with a little extra money of course, but Jungkook was used to corrupt businesses). There weren't many apps, which figures since you had to lay low when you run an illegal business. He clicks on the gallery and swipes through the pictures in the albums.
There were selfies of the man (quite handsome if he might add, but only because he resembled Jimin), more pictures with Jimin (which made Jungkook's heart beat a little faster because he had never seen Jimin so happy and carefree), family pictures (Jimin's mom looked so beautiful, he has to admit it made him a little sad to remember that she was gone, and his dad looked so good too, much unlike now if he thinks about it), pictures with friends and Jungkook was a bit surprised to see a lot of pictures with young Seojun, they must have been good friends.
And then there was one last folder. It was titled evidence, which made Jungkook more than a little curious. He takes a look around to make sure that he was really alone before checking it. The album consisted of multiple photos of contracts and even screenshots of conversations. He reads through all of them carefully.
By what he understands, there was a person who was going to steal from the Park clan and start their own clan with the money. With that they would destroy all the remaining clans for the Jeon clan to take over. If he were the same person he was a few weeks ago he would've described this as his dream but he doesn't think he can say the same now.
