I watched cartoons with Joanne and tended to La'kir while Kara and Lakira cooked in the kitchen. Every once in a while Aaron would switch grill duty with me.Lakira: Bitch my feet are killing me
Kara: I told you I can handle the potato salad
Lakira: You always forget the honey
Kara: Who adds honey to potato salad??
Lakira: My mom. It makes it so much better
Kara: Dude it's weird
Lakira: Taste it.I watched Lakira spoon feed some of the potato salad to Kara. Kara's face lit up into a smile.
Kara: I shall never doubt my queen again
Lakira: Good
Aaron: Hey um the ribs seem to be... gone
Lakira: Gone? Aaron Melloul
Aaron: Yes?
Lakira: Did you eat my ribs?
Aaron: No!
Lakira: Did you eat my ribs?

Lakira: Aaron Melloul. Did you eat my damn ribs?She spoke through gritted teeth using her "Dont you dare lie to me" face.
Aaron: Yes. I'm sorry
He hung is head low.
Kara: You have got to teach me how to do that
Lakira: I got it from my momma
Joey: It's terrifying
Joanne: It's so hard to lie to mommy when she does that
Aaron: I'll say
Lakira: I have more ribs in my fridge. Go grill those and don't eat them or I'll whoop yo ass
Aaron: Yes ma'am
Joey: How about you switch off with me? I can control myself
Aaron: Good ideaToday is the Gender reveal cookout. Lakira doesn't wanna get stressed and hurt the baby, so she's trying to make everything go smoothly.
Joey: When is everyone supposed to get here?
Lakira: Soon Baby. Make sure those ribs get done. We'll set up the table.
Joanne: Can I help?
Lakira: Sure thing. Can you go put the fruit right there?
Joanne: Yes I can.Joanne walked towards the table and set down the tray of fruits. Lakira and Kara put down the rest of the food along with plates, utensils, and cups.
Kara: What drinks are we serving?
Lakira: Drinks? Oh my gosh drinks. I forgot drinks!
Aaron: No you didn't. They're in the fridge
Lakira: I'm going crazy. I just want this to be perfect because this is a surprise pregnancy
Joey: Relax. You'll be okay.I really didn't want her to stress, so I tried to change the subject.
Joey: So Kara, did you ever figure out the gender reveal
Kara:Sure did. I'll just need you to stand on the x's I've spray painted on your grass
Lakira: You spray painted my grass?
Kara: Yes. But it's washable
Lakira: Alright...My mom and my siblings all walked in.

Kara:Help yourselvesEveryone went straight to the table and grabbed some food. Lakira was in charge of the music and ate while shuffling through her playlists. I watched Joanne whisper something to Kara. It did look suspicious, but I just brushed it off.
Kara: Hey everyone. I think it's time for the actual gender reveal. Lakira and Joey, if you would please stand on the x's.
Lakira: I don't like this
Joey:Yeah I don't think do
Kara:Just put these blind folds on
Lakira:Oh gosh.We put them on and waited for her to give further instructions.
Kara:Okay Aaron. You ready?
Aaron: Yeah
Joey: Is Aaron on the roof?
Kara: Great! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Lakira. What—Water fell from the roof, drenching us. Everyone gasped.

Kara: Take off your blond folds guys!We took them off and looked at each other.
Joey: Oh my gosh. We're pink

Sophia: You guys are having girls idiot
Joey: Oh. Ohhhhhh. Girls!

Kara: It was tough trying to figure out the gender reveal idea but this was kinda Aaron's
Aaron: It was? I just wanted to get on the roof
Joey: Wait so what about our white clothing?
Kara:Washable spray paint
Lakira: Good. I actually like this dressThe party kept on going. I snuck off with La'kir in my arms so I could think.
Joey: You're gonna have two more sisters little dude. It's not gonna be just you and Joanne now. I remember when Lakira first told me she was gonna have you. I was scared. I mean Joanne was a handful enough. Growing up with sisters did help out a lot with having a girl. But then you were a boy. I was having a son. And believe me I was happy. You're still young, but I'm ready to see you grow up. Even though the thought of raising my son with three other girls is a terrifying thought. Oh gosh. I'm gonna screw this up.
