Lakira's pov-
A month into Molly living with us, I finally was able to score one custom made doll. Molly's birthday is today and I wanted to get her something special. I ordered the doll to look exactly like her. She didn't want a party or anything like that. All she wanted was her family.

Lakira: What do you want for breakfast, Molly?
Molly: Can I have pancakes?
Joey: Of course sweetheart
Joanne: Happy Birthday Molly!
Molly: Thank you, Jojo!
Lakira: I baked you something special for your lunch, too.
Molly: I can't wait!

I made two pancakes for the girls and served them. Joey fed La'kir while I got ready for the day. Once I was done; the girls were ready for school. I drove them and kissed them both goodbye. I drove back home and saw Joey half asleep on the couch, holding La'kir.

Lakira: Aww. Come here my little baby.

I picked up La'kir and walked to my room.

Lakira: Daddy has been tired lately hasn't he? Yeah. He deserved a nap. Why don't you help me wrap your sister's present? That would be fun.

I grabbed a few pillows and made sure he was comfortable while I wrapped up the doll. Once I was done, I set it down on Molly's bed and went back to grab La'kir. Joey was still sleeping, so I decided to put La'kir down for a nap. I set an alarm before going to sleep myself. Finally a moment of peace.

Joey's pov-
I woke up falling off the couch. I checked my phone to see it was about time to get the girls. Lakira's phone kept ringing, so I went to go see. She was asleep while her alarm was going off. I turned it off and grabbed the keys to go pick up the kids.

Joey: Hey guys. How was school?
Joanne: Molly got a cupcake. That's what mommy packed for her
Molly: I think cupcakes are amazing! And it was red velvet. Red is awesome!
Joey: You like red?
Molly: I love red!
Joey: Hmm alright then. How would you like your new nickname to be "Red"?
Molly: I like it
Joey: Alright Red

I listened to them talk about their day for the rest of the car ride home. Once we got there, I saw that Lakira was awake and shuffling to find her shoes.

Lakira: I'm late! I slept through my alarm. I gotta get the...kids that are standing right there
Molly: Daddy came and picked us up
Joanne: Yeah. We're fine
Lakira: Oh my gosh. Okay. That's great.
Molly: And now my nickname is Red because I like red
Lakira: Oh so Red and Apple. That's cute. Well Red there's something waiting for you on your bed

She smiled excitedly and ran to the room with Joanne. I turned to Joey and punched him in the arm.

Joey: Ow! Why?
Lakira: You could've texted me
Joey: You we're asleep. I could tell you're tired. Babe you're 8 months pregnant. Why don't you just relax a bit okay?
Lakira: Fine. Sorry for punching you
Joey: You still got your hands
Lakira: Of course. That's not something you forget
Joey: True true.
Molly: It's a doll! It looks just like me!
Joey: It does! Wow it's so pretty, Red
Joanne: I like it a lot. And it came with a hairbrush!
Lakira: So you like it?
Molly: Yes! Thank you mommy!
Lakira: You're welcome, Red.

She gave me a big hug. She hugged me for a long time until she jumped back.

Lakira: Oh my gosh
Molly: Your stomach hit me!
Lakira: No no. That was one of the babies!
Joey: Havent they been kicking for a while?
Lakira: They have, but never like that
Joanne: It looks like there's an alien in there
Joey: It really does
Lakira: Wow. Happy birthday, Molly

She smiled and walked with Joanne to play with her new doll.

Joey: She's like an angel
Lakira: Get ready time raise 5
Joey: I'm scared
Lakira: Me too.

I looked at him with a smile and kissed him. One of the babies kicked again.

Joey: One of them is definitely playing soccer
Lakira: Sounds exhausting. Joanne said she wanted to be a cheerleader just like me
Joey: That also sounds exhausting
Lakira: Welcome to parenthood, baby.
