Thalia's POV:
A sleepy moan escaped my lips as I stretched my arms over my head, I rolled my ankles and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. As I began to sit up I noticed an arm over my bare stomach. My lower half was covered with the duvet covers, as was hers.
The memories of the previous night flooded my mind causing a smile grace my lips before I could stop it. My eyes trailed over her soft skin, I brought my hand to her face to caress her cheek. My thumb ran over her bottom lip affectionally.
The girl began to stir so I loosened her grip on my and slipped out of bed, grabbing a silk robe that hung on the back of my bedroom door and made my way downstairs.
I thought about the out of world experience that occurred the previous night. Approaching Harper in the school bathrooms was a power move, I loved seeing how flustered I made her but when we made it to my bed she took control. Something I hadn't let anyone do in at least a year.
She touched me with such care, love. I flipped the pancake.
Love.
I told her I loved her, it had been on my mind for a week or two at least. I wasn't one to believe in love at first sight but I knew I felt something as soon as she tripped into my classroom on my first day at the high school, cursing like a sailor.
She said it back.
A contempt sigh left my lips as I added the final pancake to the stack and felt familiar arms wrap around my waist.
"Morning." She whispered and kissed under my ear, causing a shiver to run down my spine.
"Good morning." I turned to face her, seeing her wearing one of my t-shirts and a pair of my underwear.
"I had to wear your clothes, I hope that's okay."
I brought my arms around her neck and pulled her into me to place a soft kiss on her lips. "It's more than okay, baby."
"Baby?" She echoed after sitting at the breakfast bar so I could give her her stack of pancakes.
"Yeah, baby. That's what people call their girlfriends, right?" Worry washed over me but I was calmed at seeing a smile tug at the corners of her lips.
"Well you would need to ask me officially." She poured syrup over the bacon and pancakes on her plate.
I rolled my eyes but wasn't able to resist. "Harper Carrey, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Hmmmm." She took a bite of the food on her fork.
"Harper!" I whined.
"Yes, Thalia. I'll be your girlfriend. I'm honoured that you asked."
I blushed and we ate our breakfast in a comfortable silence, occasionally stealing flirty glances from one another.
----
"I adore your cooking." Harper complimented as she cleaned our plates in the kitchen sink, I tried to stop her but she insisted.
"Best thing you've ever tasted?"
"Hmm, second best." She turned her head to wink.
My face was beetroot red at her flirty confidence. She dried her hands and I led her to the sofa, fiddling with her fingers as I spoke to her when we sat.
"Do you have plans for today?"
"I'm gonna have to start packing later on, but I'm free for the majority of the day."
I frowned, remembering that tomorrow she'd be flying out to Birmingham in England to spend the holidays with her auntie, uncle, cousins, parents, siblings and grandparents at her Aunt and Uncle's house. I was glad she'd see her family but she'd be gone from the 21st to New Year's Eve. Meaning she'd miss my birthday on the 22nd.
