Chapter 8

AYA's POV

From Monday until Wednesday, it was our preparation for the mid-term exams on Thursday and Friday, so all those three days we had our recall for all our subjects. Then, after dealing with that, me and my friends had our group study at night, besides studying at the library after classes.

It's quite fun to study with them because I've never had this experience even with my high school friends, so I'm very happy to study with them.

On Thursday we had our half of the subjects' exams.

Luckily, since I already had a lot of knowledge, I was able to answer all those questions during our exam, and even on our last mid-term exam on Friday, I answered them all. I'm really glad that I prepared for it.

The release of our grades was next week, so me and my friends just rested after the exam.

My friend also encouraged me to join them tomorrow since it was Saturday and they were meeting the varsity team again. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to join them since I already planned to go home to our home town, specifically to our house, because it's been months since I got home and my family wanted to see me.

So I went home to our house in the province to spend time with my family, and I arrived back here in Manila on Sunday afternoon, inside our dorm.

We're just having kwentuhan and chitchat while eating carbonara that my mom gave me before I left a while ago.

"You should join us next Saturday, aya," Kate said.

"Yeah, aya, you know what, they are fun to be with," Kyla said.

"And besides, they wanted to meet you badly," she added.

"I also make excuses for you every time that you don't join us." Kate

"I think they kind of like you," Chloe teased.

I agree with you Chlow, Tom and Ark seem to have a crush on you, and they keep asking me about you, especially Tom. ugh that man," Kyla said angrily, but I didn't know who she was referring to, so I just remained silent.

You should really join us next time, aya, and besides, I think you'll like them. Maybe you can pared up with Kyle too, since it's just that you two are quite similar in some ways, Kate said, but since I still have no idea who she's talking about, I remain confused, even though I had someone in my head.

Oh, that team captain, "Chloe said while smiling, and I bet he had a crush on him.

Kyla stated, but I simply rolled my eyes.

I'll think about it, but I'm really thinking about not joining you guys' just because of what you guys' told me and it looks like you're paring me with someone that I didn't know. I said

"That's why you joined us to meet him/them," Kate said.

"I'm not interested," I said.

And I added, "I don't have any plans to meet someone or be pared with anyone."

After that, we had our group dinner and went back to our rooms and did our night routine before going to sleep.

On Monday we just had some more free time after our classes since the interschool competition started and the host of the year's competition was the other school, which is JACUES University, also known as the Yellow School. They are one of the best schools in Manila, but for me, our school was the best, which was the ClINT UNIVERSITY. Our school is known as the "Blue School."

The event was attended at their university, so we won't be able to watch it because we still have classes the majority of the time we have free time.

I heard that this day was also the showcase of the muse of each school, and I heard that Stacey was the representative of our university. I've known her because she's quite famous inside the school, not only because she's rich and had good looks, but because of her bitchy attitude. You know, she used to judge and insult other students inside the school, specifically those not high just like her.

"I don't think she's enough to represent our school. You know, there's someone else who's better like, aya right," Kate said.

Yes, I agree. I think if you just accepted the offer from our department last month, you are the one who represents the school. Kyla

Yeah, Aya is way better than that bitchy girl. Chloe

"I don't want to and I'm not interested." I said

We all just spend the whole day talking and resting.

Tuesday to Thursday went off, and all we did was take our class and spend a few minutes in the library after class.

On Friday we also took our classes, then I went home early after class to meet someone again, while my friends went to JACUES University to watch the first game of our varsity team against another school.

I just wear my casual outfit before I meet one of my old friends' moms.

I've been communicating with her since last month about an important matter.

After we talked, I went home and just rested.

I also had to make excuses again to avoid my friends when they encouraged me to join them again to meet those guys, so I had to lie that I had stomach aches due to what I ate yesterday with someone. They also asked me who I met with yesterday and I just said that it's my old friend's mom.

"I'm sorry guys, I'm really not feeling well today because of what we ate yesterday." I messaged them on our group chat.

"Okay," Kate replied. I know she can sue me for giving her another excuse again.

Then I just heard that Carl was fetching them with his car, so I stayed alone again. I just watched Korean dramas the whole time and ate my lunch. Then I slept in the afternoon, and when I woke up, my friend was already inside the living room.

When I heard them talking, I shut my door and went inside my room, where I tried to sleep until I fell asleep.

Alam kung hindi ko sila maiiwasan parati sa tuwing yayain nila ako, pero I just didn't like the idea of them paring me with someone. I hope they will understand me.
