KYLE'S POV✨

Things became awkward for us after that, but they have returned in the last two weeks.

I usually accompany her here inside the library, and then after that, she slowly opens up to me.

She told me the reasons why she had tried to avoid us before. She said she was afraid to trust again and left soon after. She also told me about what had happened to her before, and I felt the sadness in her while she was telling me.

I don't want her to feel that again. That's why I will do my best to keep her and protect her at all costs.

I also opened up to her and told her about me and Kim's past.

I'm really happy that things are getting better each day for both of us.

And I think that each day that we get to know each other more, my feelings are growing too.

I don't like her anymore, because

I'm in love with her now.

AYA's POV

The week before the acquaintance party

Last weekend, I couldn't join my friends and the team because I had to go home to check on my family since my sister has been messaging me for the past few weeks.

Attending the class and sometimes having a quiz for some subjects was not enough.

Then studying at the library with Kyle after class before going back to the dorm I also meet my officemates every M-W after I study at the library.

In the past few weeks, I finally redeemed myself, and I think I'm more than fine now because of Kyle.

The weird feelings that I always felt every time I was with him grew more intense.

Saturday

We reconnected after doing our laundry.

They also noticed that I and Kyle were getting better at each other's companies, which is why they kept on teasing us.

"So you and Aya are now friends?" Carl inquired about Kyle.

"Carl, you should ask Kyle if they are officially together," Mark said.

Kyle's face was red right now, but I couldn't help him because I was cornered by my friends too.

"So the two of you are getting better, huh?" Kate

"I thought you didn't want to trust people again," she added while whispering.

"Are you officially together?" Chloe asked me

"No," I said.

"Really, Aya," Kyla said, "but the two of you seem too close for the week, and you and Kyle have more time to yourselves most of the time."

"Come on girls, maybe Aya was just too shy to admit it," Kylien also teased me. Kaya na kaming nakikitang magkasama ni Kyle after class because she also went to the library sometimes.
