Chapter 14

AYA's POV

After 2 months of vacation, finally

I returned here after a two-month absence.

Pagkatpos kung ayusin ang mga gamit ko, humilata ako saglit sa narinig ko nalang si Kate sa labas ng room ko.

"Hey, I miss you." she said while hugging me.

"Really, Kate, we just talked over the phone last night," I said, and she laughed because it's true. We always had a call or video call every day or every night during the vacation.

"But you know, it's still different in person," she said, and I nodded. I also noticed that Carl was there behind her. We just noticed him because he coughed to get our attention.

"Oh, sorry girls, to interrupt you both, but I'm also here," he said, and it made us laugh.

"Sorry love," Kate said.

"It looks like that she misses me more than you, Carl," I teased Carl.

"Yeah, it looks like," he said.

"Oh, come on, love," Kate said.

After that, we just stayed in the living room while we were catching up. I also had a chance to get to know Carl, and I can say he's really in love with Kate, and I can also say, through his words and actions, that he wants her to spend his whole life with her. I really admire the relationship between these two, I said in my mind while watching both of them laughing while teasing each other.

We just stayed like that for a while, then my other friends also arrived.

"Oh girl, I miss you," Chloe said while running toward us.

"We didn't miss you," Kate teased Chloe, and we laughed.

Then I noticed that Kyla was just staring at us, especially at me. The silence and awkwardness came for a while before Chloe spoke again.

"So are you just going to stare at each other?" Chloe teased us.

After that, Kyla ran toward me and hugged me.

"How are you?" she asked me while hugging me. Then I hugged her back before we broke the hug and our other friends joined us.

"How about me?" Carl said.

"You want me to?" Chloe asked him

Then Carl suddenly joins us, and we all end up laughing hard.

"I think you'll develop your girly side sooner or later," Kate teased him.

"No way," Carl defended himself.

At kwentuhan, pagkatpos naming magkamustahan at kwentuhanCarl had already left at that point, and we are now inside my room.

"So how are you?" Kyla asked me.

I said, "I'm fine, thanks for asking. By the way, how about you guys? Sorry for being rude the last time we bonded."

"We understand you. We're also sorry about what you know." She said.

"No it's fine, it's not your fault, girl, you just did what you think is right and I also understand you, girl," I said.

"Stop that, are we just going to dram her?" Chloe asked, and we all looked at her.

Then we end up taking group photos and eating in the nearby cafe where we always go every time we feel bored.

After eating, we went back to our rooms to sleep.

However, on Monday morning,

I woke up early since I didn't want to be late since it was the first day of my second year at college. I just did my usual routine, then me and my friends inter the school.

The schedule is a little tight for me, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Kate and I had the same class for all subjects, while Kate and Chole had 2 different subjects in the morning after break.

We simply attended our classes for the entire week, as we have done in the past.I didn't also hear some encouragement or they didn't even bother me anymore about other people. My whole month went like before, like the first month here in college. My friends and I also had more time to spend together during the weekends.

Next month (September) 

Since our exam is coming nearer, me and my friends spend a lot of time inside the library.

Kung hindi niyo natatanong yes, tapos na ang renovation ng library and it's more cozy this time.

We just studied for a while, then we went back to our dorm. I also met my office mates a while ago before we went to the library. The dean also wants me to meet him tomorrow after class because he knows that I'm the one who did great last year in doing the work of my organization.

The next day, gaya nga ng sabi ko after class, I went up to our dean and we just talked and he also congratulated me for doing a great job.

"Ms. Swift, we really appreciate your work and even the other organizations of the other school were impressed by your work," he said.

"Oh, thank you sir," I replied, "but our president and organization leader also played a significant role in this work."

Yeah, and besides that, the school looks forward to the great teamwork of you and Miss Arazon for this year and next.

"We will both work on that, sir, and we will do our best."

He just gave us the certificate of appreciation and said, "For winning the most efficient work."

I walked to our dorm. Hindi na din ko na din pinansin ang mga tao sa loob ng gym. I knew that there was still a student there and I knew who they were, so like I always do, I avoided adding people to my life.

Next week, after the exam, we had a lot of free time since the exam was already done for the quarter. I also heard from my few blockmates that the beginning of the inter school competition will be held next month here at our university since our school was the host for this year. 

Napaisip nalang ako bigla dahil I didn't even notice that the intra-school competition was already done and the Christmas vacation had already passed. It made me realize that I'm so focused on my studies that I didn't even notice that I was drowning in my own blood again, so I decided to rest for the whole week since Malayo pa ang last exam for this year, but I still read books and notes.

Then suddenly, while me and my friends were walking towards our dorm, the coach of the varsity team suddenly asked me for a time because he wanted to tell me something. I had a bad idea about this already, but I still respected the school, so I decided to talk to him.
