Gab's POV

Outside the academy Kuya Gavin is waiting for us. We were about to leave when he called us.

"The headmistress wants you to ride this on your way to Vendetta." He said. Behind him are 6 huge horses that are eating grass quietly.

Nagkanya kanyang sakay kami ng kabayo. Napunta sa akin ang kulay puti na matibay ang pangangatawan. Agad namin itong pinatakbo upang mag umpisa na sa paglalakbay. Medyo nahirapan si Jade sa pagpapatakbo nito but she got used to it later on.

Ellaine and Callum are in front of us, holding a map and leading us the way while Kai is assigned as the torch guy.

Lumabas na ang maliwanag na buwan ng huminto kami sa gitna ng gubat. Itinali ko sa malaking katawan ng puno ang kabayo upang hindi ito makatakbo. May malapit na batis sa pinaghintuan namin kaya naman nagpaalam akong kukuha lang ng tubig.

"Lagyan mo din yung akin!" Utos ni Jade at ibinato pa sa'kin ang lagayan niya.

Muntik ko pa itong hindi masalo dahil napakataas ng pagkakahagis nito. Natawa lang siya dahil sa katarantaduhan niya.

Malamig ang simoy ng hangin lalo na at gabi na. Maririnig mo ang mga kuliglig at huni ng mga ibong nagpapahinga sa mga matataas na puno. Ilang lakad pa ay narinig ko na ang matunog na hampas ng tubig sa mga bato. Agad akong lumapit dito at nilublob ang paa.

Relief is the first thing I felt the moment my foot stepped into the freshwater.

I was carefully refilling our water when I noticed the bush near me moved. I stared at it for a long time. It didn't move again so I stood up to check on it when someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth.

"Quiet." He whispered.

I recognized his voice so I calmed down. He gestured me to hide behind him. Kumunot ang noo ko ngunit walang nagawa kung hindi ang sumunod.

My eyes widened when he suddenly took my hand and pulled me again to hide behind the nearest tree. I can feel his breath in my forehead. My heart is pounding so fast.

I was about to complain but I heard a growl from a huge creature. I peeked to check if it was really there. It jumped out from the bush and sniffed the rock that I was sitting on earlier.

It has an awful smell and huge fangs. It's drooling and you can really feel its heavy footsteps. It was still sniffing the surroundings until a loud howl caught its attention. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang mawala na ito sa paningin namin.

"What is that?" I asked, still staring at the bush that the creature came from.

"A werewolf."

"Hunting food?" He nodded.

"It was just passing by when it smelled a scent of half blood. You're lucky I'm here." Hindi naman ako makapaniwala na napalingon sa kanya.

"You could've died there, Dawson." I smiled at him sarcastically.

"Aren't you curious how it feels to be a meal, Hargreeves?"

Hindi na siya nagsalita pa matapos non kaya kinuha ko na ang lagayan ng tubig namin at inis na bumalik sa mga kasama. Naabutan ko silang nag uusap habang nag iihaw ng pagkain.
