Chapter 4

Gab's POV

I frowned when I saw the girl with dark blue hair recognize us. I don't remember her. Jade on the other hand immediately wrapped her hands around that girl to the point that they almost fell to the floor.

"Gab?" Tinawag niya muli ako ngunit hindi ko talaga siya maalala.

"C'mon, have you really forgotten me?" She rolled her eyes and reached for my hands. Hindi naman na ako makatanggi nung niyakap niya ako.

"I'm your Ate Roxanne. Hindi mo ba talaga ako matandaan?" Napaisip naman ako at ng maalala na siya ay napatango ako bigla. Tinawanan niya lang ako bago hinila paupo sa couch.

Pinsan ko siya in my mother's side. Her mom is my mother's older sister. Hindi ko lang siya gaanong matandaan dahil bata pa kami nung huling nagkita at hindi na siya nagparamdam simula noon.

"Why are you here?"

"Duh, to study?" Ate Roxanne answered Jade's question in a matter of fact tone. Napalingon naman ako sa babaeng nagbukas ng pinto para sa'min kanina. Napansin niya atang nakatingin ako sa kanya kaya naman nginitian niya ako.

"Oh, she has been my roommate since I got here." saad ni ate.

"Hi! My name is Kamill. It's really nice to meet you!" Masigla niyang pakilala kahit gabi na. Hindi nawawala ang ngiti sa labi nito.

"I'm Jade and this is Gab." Itinuro niya ako kaya naman tumango ako.

"Both of them are my cousins." Ngumiti si ate bago tumayo at nagtungo sa kusina.

"Kumain na ba kayo?" tanong nito at nagtungo sa lababo.

"What the hell?!" sigaw ni Jade. Halos lumuwa ang parehong mga mata namin sa nakita.

I swear I saw Ate Roxanne just controlled the water like nothing. It was following her hands. Nagulat din sila ni Kamill dahil sa reaksyon namin. Agad siyang lumapit sa'min.

"Base on your reactions hindi niyo pa nakukuha ang abilities niyo?" Gulat na tanong niya.

Napatayo naman ako dahil sa tanong niya. "Abilities? You mean real powers?"

"Y-Yeah?" Nilapitan ako ni Kamill.

"No.." Jade replied.

Nagkatinginan sina Ate at Kamill pareho. Tila nag uusap sa isip nila. Napabuntong hininga si Ate bago ako hinila paupo.

"Look.. Hillside Academy is a school for demigods. They will teach you how to control your abilities and will give you missions to see how you improve." Shock is written all over our face.

"Nandito kayo dahil isa kayo sa amin. Walang ordinaryong tao ang makakapasok ng Olympia." dagdag ni Kamill.

"So we're also demigods?" hindi siguradong tanong ni Jade. Napangiti naman si Ate Roxanne.

"Yes! And I'm glad to know that my cousins are also like me." Napaisip naman ako. Prinoproseso ko pa ang lahat ng impormasyong natuklasan ko.

That is why my mother brought me here, to discover myself. But if I'm a demigod and my mother is just a human, as I suppose, then who's my real father? Ibig sabihin ang nakalakihan kong ama ay hindi ko kadugo?

"Miss Clio said that I'm the daughter of Aphrodite. How can I be sure that it's true?" Nabaling ang atensyon ko kay Jade.

"Don't underestimate Miss Clio. If she said you're the daughter of the goddess Aphrodite then you are." singit ni Kamill.

Napabuntong hininga muli ako. "What about me?"

"I guess we'll find out."

Nag aayos ako ng gamit ko ng napansin ko ang isang kwintas na nakaipit kasama ng librong binabasa ko kanina habang nasa byahe. Wala akong matandaang may ganito akong kwintas.
