Gab’s POV
“You’re so powerful! Maybe comparable to Callum!” Ellaine exaggerated.
I rolled my eyes at her. I told her about what I found out in the Underworld and she immediately threw me a lot of possibilities and theories. I can’t handle her mind and I think my nose will bleed any second now.
Dalawa lang kami dito sa ilalim ng puno sa field. Jade and Kamill are currently dueling in the middle while Ate Roxanne is laughing at them. Natawa din ako ng madapa si Jade nang sugurin siya.
“Don’t laugh at me. This will kill you, literally!” She shouted with glaring eyes. I put my hands up in defeat at napailing.
“Hey! It’s possible. Although I’m not sure because, well– first of all, that’s Callum.” I don’t know if Ellaine’s still talking to me or herself.
“We’re still not sure what I can do. Don’t stress yourself about it.” I told her. Napabuga na lang siya ng hangin at lumipad pa ang bangs niya.
“You’re right. Why am I worrying about that when it isn’t even my problem?” Napairap na lang siya at tinawanan ko ito. I appreciate her being worried about me.
“Dawson, you’re next!”
Napatayo na ako nang tawagin ako ni Mr. Thompson. Ako na ang susunod na lalaban. We are currently training. Kumunot ang noo ko ng makita kung sino ang ka-duel ko.
“You?”
“Wow. I can really tell that you’re excited.” He sarcastically said. Napailing na lang ako at hinanda ang katana na hawak ko.
“Let’s bet.” He offered. “Who ever loses will pay for the dinner.”
Napaisip ako dahil sa alok niya. Nagdadalawang isip ako kung papayag ba o hindi. But in the end, my ego wins.
“Dinner it is.”
He smirked and positioned himself. I lifted my weapon and faced him. Nakakairita ang mayabang na presensya niya.
“Dawson..” Mr. Thompson looked at me, “Vergara..”
Napahugot ako ng malalim na hininga. Ramdam ko ang bigat ng sandata ko ngunit nakakamanghang hindi na ako kinakabahan. I'm used to battling now. Napatingin ako kay Zeike na wala na ang mapaglarong ngiti sa labi.
Mukhang magiging mahirap nga lang ito.
“Let the duel.. begin.”
I immediately shielded myself with my katana before he attacked me without hesitation. The impact was really strong and heavy. I almost got hit. If I'm not fast enough I might lose my arm. He has an advantage because he’s very good at duelling.
A son of Ares that everyone feared especially in the battle field.
After his attack, I tried to hit him in the knees but he jumped. Napamura ako ng mahina nang bumawi ito at natamaan ang braso ko. Nagkaroon ako ng maliit na hiwa.
Inis ko siyang sinugod at agad na hiniwa siya sa tuhod. Tumama ito kaya napadaing siya at lumuhod. Nagtungo naman agad ako sa likod niya at sinipa siya ngunit nahawakan niya ang paa ko dahil mabilis itong humarap sakin.
Nagkatinginan kami bago niya ito pinihit kaya agad kong nahalikan ang sahig. Namimilipit sa sakit ang paa ko ngunit pilit kong inaabot ang sandata ko.
“Not so fast.”
Nang mapansin niya ang ginagawa ko ay agad niyang tinarak ang sandata sa tabi ng kamay ko. Maswerte ako at nagawa kong iwasan ito dahil kung hindi ay malamang wala na akong daliri.
