Third Person's POV
Everyone gasps with what happened. Everything is happening so fast. All of a sudden, the field is covered with black smoke. And they know damn well who started it.
Ellaine stood up out of frustration. She cannot just sit back and watch how her friends are nearly killing each other. Gab surrounded the field with her dangerous smoke and Ellaine got worried for Callum but she noticed how he was just fine about it. That made Ellaine flash a victorious smile.
"Gab finally did it!" She celebrated like she won a lottery, making Jade also stand up because of confusion.
"Did what?"
"She finally learned how to release her smoke without having someone poisoned by it!" Jade's jaw dropped.
That is when she knew that her cousin would be unstoppable after this match.
Meanwhile on the battlefield…
"Gab!"
Roxanne helplessly called her cousin for help. She was floating in thin air and around her neck was a chain-like electricity. Nakita siya ni Gab ngunit hindi siya mapuntahan nito sapagkat hindi siya makakalipad.
Saving Roxanne was Gab’s first plan but then Callum kept on interrupting her. She then made a whip out of her smoke, encircling it around Callum.
He was caught off guard because of that. He thought he could easily get off of it but he was surprised when he saw how the whip-like smoke turned into a real one. It was a whip made out of vine. Even Gab was stunned by what she did.
While Callum is flabbergasted by what happened, Roxanne took the opportunity to escape. She almost hit the ground but Gab’s smoke saved her. And now that Callum is on the ground, she gathered all her energy and made everything shake.
"Please work!" She uttered before channelling all of her powers. "Argh!"
An enormous amount of water appeared from the ground. She immediately caged Callum with water together with Gab who used her smoke to layer up the cage. Raz also appeared and made a fire cage to lock Callum up.
"Fuck!" Gab cursed when Callum managed to send lightning to her direction even though he was caged.
"Give me the quill, Hargreeves!" Pumasok si Gab sa loob ng ginawa nilang cage. Callum gave her a smug smile before attacking her with his sword. Walang nagawa si Gab kung hindi ang makipag espadahan dito.
Their every move is as fast as the lightning. Everytime their sword would clash, the ground would shake. The demigods in the arena are even holding their breath while watching this historical event.
No one has ever stood up a chance against Callum. Zeike and Ellaine would only last a minute with him but Gab managed to fight him longer.
"Gab, we're running out of time!" Narinig ni Gab na sigaw ng Ate niya.
Inis na sinipa ni Gab si Callum sa tuhod kaya napaluhod ito. Itututok na sana ni Gab ang katana niya sa leeg ng lalaki ngunit nagawa nitong salagin ang atake niya at tumayo.
"Just give me the damn quill!"
Callum pushed Gab, making her roll over the ground. Tatayo na sana ito nang maramdaman niya ang paparating na atake ng binata. Iniwas niya ang ulo niya dito bago hinampas ang espada nito. Dahil doon ay lumipad ang sandata ni Callum. Napangisi ang dalaga ngunit nagulat siya ng magawang mapalipad din ni Callum ang katana niya.
They were now exchanging kicks and punches until Gab heard the timer.
"30 seconds Gab!"
Gab frustratingly tried to kick Callum's chest but he caught her legs. He twisted it, making Gab whine in pain. Pilit pa ding sinipa ni Gab ang lalaki gamit ang isang paa kaya naman nakawala siya dito. Gagapang na sana siya para kunin ang katana niya ngunit nahila siya ng binata at naunahang makuha ang sandata.
