Chapter 24: Distanced

*Hayes' Pov*

"Sofia!" I yell. She wasn't answering. She was just looking at her fortune.

"Hayes...l-look." She gulps. She gives me her fortune.

It read:

End your love or I will

Honestly I truly felt that someone was trying to break us up. Someone's watching us.

"Babe, everything is gonna be fine. I'll be with you." I say to her as I hold her hand.

She nods but I see the fear in eyes. Just when things were starting to become good.

We tip Matt and leave the restaurant. Matthew offered to drive us home.

"I'm off my shift anyway." He says.

We get inside his car. It was silent until Matthew spoke.

"What's wrong? You guy's are usually talking." He says.

We didn't know if we should tell Matt. Or anyone.

"Just a bit tired." I lied.

"Oh okay then." He said while driving.

Sofia fell asleep on my shoulder. I lay my head on her head. I soon fell asleep as well.

"Wake up." Matthew says.

"Thanks Matt." I say in sarcasm.

"Anytime." He says.

I walk Sofia to her house. She holds my hands tightly. I knew she was scared. We rang the doorbell and Hazel opened the door.

"Finally." She says.

"Hayes can you stay with me?" Sofia asks.

"Sure." I reply.

We go upstairs. She sits on her bed. "Hayes, I..I don't wanna leave you. I love you to death and I can't stand a second without you." She says as she looks into my eyes.

I sit next to her. She puts her head down. "Hey." I say. She looks up at me. "Nothing will break us apart." I say with confidence.

*Sofia's Pov*

Hayes and I decided to watch Hunger Games. Half-way into the movie I got a text from Unknown.

Unknown: You don't wanna listen to me, huh?

I was confused.

Sofia: What do you mean?

Unknown: End Your Love Or I Will >:)
Just for that, watch what's gonna come to you. A nice sweet surprise.

What's gonna happen? I thought. Questions soon filled my mind.

I fell asleep next to Hayes. I felt safe with him.

*Next Day*

I woke up to my sister smashing pans together.

"WHAT?" I yell.

"It's 11:30. You never wake up this late." She says.

I then realized Hayes wasn't next to me.

"Where's Hayes?!" I yell. I thought the Unknown text person took him.

"Downstairs relax." She replies.

"Okay." I say. She walks out of the room.

"I took a shower, then put on white lace sundress. I put on my white doc martens and then straightened my hair. I went downstairs and I saw Hayes with puffy eyes. He looks right at me. Then looks away. Did I do something?

"Good morning Sofia." My parents say.

"Can you please have a seat with us for a second?" My mom says. I sit on the couch across from them. Hayes was on the couch to my right.

"We have to tell you something." My mom says.

"Did I do something? Why is Hayes crying?" I blurt out.

"You didn't do anything." My dad says.

"Then why is Hayes crying?!" I yell.

"Sweetie please relax." My mom says.

"Not until you tell me." I say.

"We're moving to Los Angeles... Next week." My dad says.

Tears fill my eyes and soon run down my face.

"Why?!" I yell.

"I got a job offer from your friend's dad and I accepted it..." My dad says.

"Which friend?!" I say.

"I believe Iris. Iris Grace." He says.

I run to Hayes and hug him. I cry into his shoulder. Iris did this on purpose. She was the Unknown Texted all along.
"I love you." Hayes cried out. "I love you so much." I say while crying.
