Chapter 25: So Long

*Day before Sofia moves to L.A*
*Sunday*
*Sofia's Pov*

I didn't go to school the past week because I've been packing my bags. Hayes and I have been hanging out a lot. He hasn't been going to school either. He's been helping me pack. I just felt we could've done something. But it's too late. Tomorrow is the day I leave. I'm not excited at all.

*Hayes' Pov*

I was gonna be seeing Sofia tonight for a dinner with my family and hers. Tomorrow I would go to the airport with her. Hazel was gonna be staying here because you know she has an apartment here. I officially hated Iris.

I was home alone. I decided to watch some TV. I turned it on and put on Revenge. The show was so interesting until the doorbell rang. Probably Nash.

I opened it and it was the last person I wanted to see. It was Iris.

"You should thank me you know. Now we can be together." She says.

"You won Iris. You took the best things that ever happened to me." I say.

"Hayes, we all know you didn't really like her. You like me. We're meant for each other. Just face it." She says while trying to kiss me.

"What are you talking about?! I hate you Iris! Don't talk to me." I say while moving away from her.

"You made the wrong choice buddy." She pulls out her knife.

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" I yell.

"When she leaves. We WILL be together. No matter what. Nobody will stop me. If you dare tell anyone. You'll regret it." She says.

"You think I'm scared?! What are you gonna do huh?" I say with pride.

"I will make Sofia pay the price. I will make your family and friends pay. You don't know what I'm capable of." She says.

She then gives me a smirk and walks out of my house. That girl is nuts. I need to get a restraining order. As soon as possible.

*Sofia's Pov*

I saw Iris walk out of Hayes' house. I'll talk to him tonight about it. I continue packing. In about 2 hours I was finished. Finally.

I didn't wanna leave. This was where I grew up. This is where I met the love of my life.

It was 6:45 and I just decided to take a quick nap. Then I heard a knock on the door. It was my mom.

"Hey sweetie." She said with guilt.

I didn't answer. It was silent until I spoke.

"I don't wanna leave Hayes. Or my friends." I say holding back tears.

"I just became more happy this year. And you guys have to take it away from me." I add.

"Honey, your father and I have realized that." She says.

"Then why are we moving?!" I broke down. Tears ran down my cheeks.

All of a sudden Nash, Hayes, Skylynn, Elizabeth Grier, Coach Grier, My dad, Anna and Michele come out of secret spots in my room.

"Were you guys hiding?" I say.

"Yeah." They all say. They stand up in front of me.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because we're not letting you leave." Michele says.

"We all begged your parents for you to stay." Hayes says.

"You'll be staying at our house!" Elizabeth says.

"Are you serious?!" I say.

Tear of joy starting filling up my eyes. I hugged every one then walked over to my parents.

"Thank you." I say to them both.

"Just don't act up." My dad says.

"Yes and we wanted you to be happy."

I hugged them both. I was more than happy. I get to stay in my hometown.

"Let's go have dinner!" Coach Grier says.

Everyone goes downstairs to the dining room. My parents bring out food and drinks.

We all ate and talked. Tomorrow would be the first day of school since winter vacation for Hayes and I. I just realized we would have a lot of work to do. Ugh. And I have to unpack.

The Grier's brung my packed boxes to their house. I was gonna be staying in Nash's room because he was moving into a house with Cameron. Yes, Cameron Dallas. Anna and Michele left early because they were going on a double date with Michele's new boyfriend, Thomas and Anna's boyfriend, Matthew.

Tomorrow Iris will be at school. I will see her group who transferred with her for the first time. Woo-hoo. (Sarcasm)

I said bye to parents because there flight left when I would be in school.

"I'm gonna miss you guys." I say to them.

"Just call us anytime." My dad says.

I hug them tightly and they give me a kiss on my forehead.

"Wait... Is this house being sold?" I ask them.

"No we're still keeping it. It's just gonna be vacant. We might give it to Hazel." My dad replies.

"Oh okay. Well bye!" I say. I walk out of the house and walk across the street and enter the Grier's house. My boxes are already in Nash's room. I just unpacked my clothes so I could have an outfit ready for tomorrow.

Hayes comes in. "Night." He says to me.

"Night." I say. He walks out and I hear him plop on his bed.

I laugh. He must have been tired.

I should get some rest too. I went into my new bed. Elizabeth and Coach Grier bought it for me. It was so comfortable. I soon fell asleep.

"WE'RE THROUGH SOFIA!" He yells

"No please!" I beg.

"I've found someone new." He says with a smirk.

"Yeah he did." She says and kisses him.

"NOOOOO." I yell.

I wake up from my nightmare. I see Hayes. "Hey, it's just me. Were you having a bad dream?" Hayes asks.

"Uh yeah." I say.

"Oh ok. Well good night." He says while leaving the room.

"Wait. Can you stay with me?" I ask.

"Sure." He says while laying down next to me.

We both fall asleep. What was my dream about?
