After last night's scavenger hunt adventure Fred made me, I was exhausted, super happy and overwhelmed with adoration, but exhausted. Lee woke all of us up two hours before our first classes were about to start. A fun thing about being a "gifted" child, I was advanced or whatever, so some of my classes I have with 5th years, which means first thing in the morning I have Charms and Transfiguration with my boy. We all walked down to the Great Hall together, but I made up two plates and headed up to Uncle Remus's quarters. Tonight's a full moon, he's super weak right now and probably won't be in classes.
"Hey Uncle? Can I come in?"
"Go right ahead sweetie." I pulled open the door to find him in yesterdays clothes, chocolate wrappers everywhere, and various tea bags scattered on his desk.
"How are you today? I brought you waffles and scrambled eggs, I know they're your favorite." I set his plate down on his desk and sat in the windowsill with my toast.
"Not my best, tonight's going to be tough, definitely. Thank you, for the breakfast. are you going to your classes this morning?" He poked at his eggs and looked at me in that "you-better-be" way.
"Uh for the first half of the day, I suppose. Speaking of which, I gotta jet if I don't want Flitwick up my behind." Just then, there was a knocking on the door, which was probably Fred, waiting to walk me to Charms.
"Have a good day Sweetpea, tell Fred I say he's on my list." Oh Uncle Remus.
"Ha ha very funny, see you at lunch!" I walked out of his office to be met with my boy.
"Cherry! You only brought one plate up here so I grabbed you a waffle!"
"You know just because cherries are red, does not mean they have any connection to my hair, also thank you for the waffle." He grabbed my hand, and we began to walk towards the Charms classroom.
"Well the nickname is cute, and so are you, so it works. So there. You can't threaten me little lady." He smiled at me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. He's so cute ohmygosh!
"I am trained in sword fighting, I better be threatening."
"Yes, you are, but you are also very cute when you're mad, so that counters that." oh shoot he's good. We walked into the Charms classroom and took our seats with George and Lee. We were about 5 minutes into class when Freddie leaned over to whisper in my ear.
"I am so glad you're too smart for third year classes." I could feel my chest get all tight, and I began to smile like an idiot.
"I'm glad I'm too smart for third year classes too," I whispered back.
After the rest of our morning classes, lunch, and panic attacks regarding thunderstorms, Freddie and I ended up in a cozy version of the Room of Requirement, asleep and ready for tomorrow's Quidditch match. I had a dream about not being able to climb ladders. It was rough.
"Freddie," I shook his shoulder, "Freddie it's time to wake up!"
"But Rosieeeeeee, I was having the best dream! There was this really cute girl named Quinn and she just was absolutely adorable."
"You know we have the same hair color, right? I could call you these nicknames too!"
"Yeah but I pull it off so much better! Now prepare yourself, for the ultimate defeat. Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff! It's so obvious that Gryffindor is going to win."
"Fred we're gonna kick your ass. You have no idea what's coming." He touched his forehead to mine and stared into my eyes, "You look like a cyclopes from this close".
