When I emerge from my room dressed to lounge around for the day I find Sean and Drew with the girls at the kitchen island. Drew is at the stove and the smell of bacon cooking hits my nose. Jo-Jo and Ju-Ju have plates in front of them and they are eating hungrily.
"I thought you were waiting for me?" I asked as I kissed each of them on the top of their heads.
"You took too long," Julianna said before she took a big bite of her toast.
"Well I'm sorry."
"Sit down," Sean said and vacated the seat he occupied.
"Say please," Joanna said.
"Please," Sean added.
I arched my brows at him before taking the seat. "She's really warmed up to you." Thinking about how Joanna has opened up and allowed them to get close to her reminds me of the photo I took of her sleeping in Sean's arms. I can't help but smile.
"What are you smiling about?" Sean asks.
I open my phone and go to the photo. I hold it up and show it to Sean.
"Send that to me?" he asks, a smile on his face.
I shoot a text to Sean with the photo included and listen as his phone dings. Drew turns and places a plate of food in front of me. I dig in, my mouth watering at the sight and smell of the breakfast feast in front of me. I look up and catch a look that passes between Drew and Sean.
"What?"
"We want to take you out," Drew says.
"What?" I choke.
"We want to take you out. It doesn't have to be together, so no pressure. We each want to take you out on a date."
My eyes shoot over to the girls but they are deep in conversation as they eat their food, so I don't think they have overheard the conversation.
"Where is this coming from?' I ask. I lower my voice though I'm sure the girls don't know what we're talking about.
"Are you really surprised that we would want to take you out?"
No, I'm not surprised. "Yes," I say out loud.
"Well, don't be. How does Friday sound? You, me, dinner?" Drew asked.
Just at that moment my phone decides to ping with a new message. I glance down at it to see that Meg has set me up on another blind date on Friday.
"Um, I can't Friday," I say and clear my throat. "I have a date."
There. It's out in the open. I'm not sure why they suddenly want to date me. We have been taking our time feeling out this new dynamic between us and until this morning when Drew brought me to orgasm with just the touch of his hand, neither of them have hinted to wanting to change anything between us. Yes, Sean had suggested that we all move in together, but I was sure that wasn't out of some dire need to make me his theirs. It was more of him wanting to do the right thing. They both had their feelings regarding the fact that I had raised the girls alone for the last four years. They wanted to be good fathers. I couldn't fault them for that.
Drew's jaw flexed, a clear sign that he was clenching his teeth. Sean walked away from the island and busied himself at the sink. The tension in the air was thick. I'm sure if I picked up my knife I could visibly slice right through it.
"Okay, don't make any plans for the following weekend." Drew walked around the island and leaned in so that I could feel his breath on my ear. "You're ours." He growled in a low voice and chills moved through my body.
"Can I get a hug goodbye?" Drew asked the girls.
They each jumped down from their chairs and ran to him. Drew scooped them up in his large arms and held them close. He kissed each of their cheeks and told them he would see them later. Sean stepped over and Joanna went into his arms. She squeezed his neck tightly and he placed a kiss to her cheek before leaning over and doing the same to Julianna. They set the girls down and spared me one more look before letting themselves out.
The girls took off for their room and I sat at the island both dreading my upcoming date with them and secretly wishing the next two weeks would hurry up and pass.

Sorry that this chapter is so slow. I kind of lost a little bit of momentum writing this story. I feel like it will come back because we are about to get to some juicy bits.
