There he was, in front of the man that made his life a living hell, the man who caused so much grief to his family and people, the man who started a war against his kingdom, the man known as the death himself but now he was finally able to solve this, all he had to do was kill him and then things would go back to normal... right?

Prince's Tai Hikari golden eyes, accompanied by his scar, locked into Shi Garon, king of the Yami kingdom and the man responsible for all his tragedies, *sigh*, he wish he didn't have to use such word to describe his life but that's how it is, since he could remember his life had been destroyed one time after another, even though he also had happy memories, those were completely overshadowed by horrible events, sometimes he wondered if things could have been different or if he could have done something to prevent everything that happened, if he could, he never knew.

Tai Hikari is Genzo's future king, a kingdom known for its great development and large territory, however he wasn't born alone, he had a twin sister called Safiya, although they were born the same day, Tai was a little older, specifically by 12 minutes.

Because they were twins, they both had the right to rule Genzo so their parents, the king and queen, decided that they would both take the throne when they became of age.

Tai and Safiya were very close during their childhood, of course, like with every sibling, they had their fights and rivalry but at the end of the day they always slept next to each other and it was impossible to not see them together since they were each other's only company, their parents didn't neglect them, they were just very busy ruling Genzo, when they did spend time with them thought, they were the parents everyone wishes for.

They definitely seemed like the perfect family, with loving parents, surrounded by luxuries and with a whole kingdom below their feet, but when they thought nothing could go wrong, fate decided to teach them an important lesson, appreciate what you have because you can lose it when you least expect it.

If you asked Tai, "which event of your past would you change if you had the chance?" he would definitely pick this one, why?, because to him this was the beginning of all the tragedies he has lived, the event known as the Saigai Night.

He remembered it so clearly, their parents were busy again so the 5-year-old twins were outside in the royal gardens, there, everything changed.

You see, since generations before, Genzo and Yami had a tense relationship, they were once allies who shared the same amount of territory and were equals, but as you should know there is always someone who wants more, the history books never reveal who that was, some say the king of Genzo, others say the king of Yami and there are those who believed that it was an external cause, independently of who did what, since that day the relationship between both kingdoms was destroyed, but despite that it never got to a critical point... until now.

In one moment they were playing in the gardens and in the next they were attacked by the guards of Yami, immediately their own guards rushed in to protect them along with their parent's but it was too late, they had already taken his sister away, his father brought him inside the castle while his mother went after the guards.

If you ask any habitant from Genzo "How did the queen died?", they would tell you that she had an accident that injured her and ended taking her life, those were nothing but lies.

When she tried to go after her daughter she faced none other than King Garon and even though the queen was strong, she was no match for him, eventually, badly injured and with a lot of pain in her heart she had no other choice but to retreat, even then it was too late for her, although she was able to come back to the castle, she collapsed as soon as she crossed the gates of the palace.

After falling against the ground she could hear her husband and son calling her and despite losing sight, she could see her son, Tai, kneeling in front of her, she knew this was the end and even though she felt guilty at the loss of Safiya, she was glad that at least her son was safe.

With the little strength she had, she said her last words, "Tai, please be happy" and after closing her eyes, the queen of Genzo left this world and her kingdom.

At that moment Tai was hit with the harsh reality of the world and he was marked with the image of his sister being taken away and his mother dying, something that would leave a permanent scar in his mind and heart.

He looked towards his father, hoping that he would tell him that it was all fake, that his mother was alive, that his sister would come back, that it was all a nightmare but deep inside he knew that everything was real and that things would never be the same.
