"History repeats again, doesn't it?" Garon started "The kings of both kingdoms fighting to death"

"You're right, it repeated" Tai replied "The difference is that when this ends, Genzo and Yami will no longer have to be enemies"

"We'll see that" Garon swings his axe "Time to fight, Prince Tai"

"So be it" It was time to make him pay "Let's see who will continue the story"

Tai wasn't wrong, Garon was truly a formidable opponent, he was very strong and resistant, however, Tai had the advantage of being faster and Safiya had taught him which spots to hit to surpass opponents, which was very useful.

His next attack had made Garon flinch and made it hard for him to get up.

He was finally going to avenge his parents; it was time to end his family and kingdom's suffering.

With a last swing of his katana, he strikes Shi Garon, the King of Death, and causes him a mortal wound.

It was all finally over...right?

"I knew it" He heard Garon speak "You're the same weak and pathetic child you were 5 years ago"

Usually he wouldn't even bother with Garon's taunts, but something made him listen.

"After all, you were the one who started this war"

Everything became silent, everyone was in shock, it couldn't be true.

"Y-You're lying" Tai replied "You started the war when you tried to kill mother"

"Are you so sure?" Garon smirked at the prince "You and I both know that I've done worst things before, but despite that, war only arrived now"

Safiya, Haki, Takevu, Hiroshi and Haru all shared glances between them, they were all thinking the same but didn't want to believe it, Tai couldn't do something like that... right?

"..."

"Think about it, both of your parents were able to maintain peace, they never appealed to violence, unlike you"

Tai wanted to think that Garon was just messing with him, he was innocent, the good guy of the story, r-right?

But then he realized, it was true, he was the one who decided to engage in the battlefield.

"N-No I-I" Tears started rolling down his face "I didn't mean it, I swear!"

He looked at his twin sister, but he couldn't figure out what she was feeling, was she sad?, disappointed?, in disbelief?

"So you finally realized" Despite dying, Garon had a smug grin "I wonder how will the people feel when they realize their own king is responsible for the death of their families" The mad King knew he left a scar on the prince once more.

"N-No, y-you're lying" How he wished it was all a lie but in the bottom of his mind, guilt was starting to consume him again.

Garon only smirked and with his last breath said "I'll see you in hell, King Tai" After those words, the mad King collapsed against the cold ground and left the world.
