"Hello Tai" He turned to see Haki approaching him.

"Hello Haki, what brings you here?"

"Well, the sky looks perfect tonight so I thought it would be a good idea to see the stars, I have the feeling that stargazing is really valuable to you"

"You're right, my family and I used to stargaze when I was young, after they left, this became my way of searching for comfort"

"That's amazing"

"... I'm sorry"

"Huh? Sorry? For what?"

"I was so ignorant" Tai said while gazing at the constellations "You and your siblings are incredible people, but I believed that, only because you're his children, you were the same as him"

He looked towards Haki and said "I'm sorry for judging you"

"I accept your apology" Replied the younger royal.

"You do?" Tai was surprised, he didn't expect forgiveness.

"Of course, I don't like to hold grudges, besides, it's now in the past, we're friends, right?" He said while extending his hand.

"Y-Yeah, we are" They shook hands "Thank you Haki"

"Sure" Both stayed silent for a moment before Haki spoke again "You know, my father wasn't always this way"

"He wasn't?"

"No, when I was a toddler, father was a nice and fair ruler, he was a firm believer of justice and morals, he once told me that he named me Haki in hopes that I will follow said path" He said with a smile while remembering the old times.

"Then, if he was such a great person, what happened?"

"When our mother died, everything changed, the kind man we knew was replaced by a tyrant and an abusive father"

"..."

"I had always hoped that I could bring him back, the thing I desired the most was to see my loving father again, I was too blind to realize that he is gone, when mother left, he went along with her and it took me a scar on my side to accept it"

"You're a truly admirable person you know, it must have been very hard for you"

"It was, honestly one of the reasons I accepted your deal is that, I feel like ending with his life will finally allow him to rest in peace, still, I'm going to miss him, even if he wasn't the man I remembered"

"Well, in Genzo we believe that our ancestors are never really gone, that they are still watching over us, maybe your father, the real Garon, is also watching over you as we talk, knowing that they are still here brings me some comfort"

They talked and talked until the sun rose to announce a new day, his conversation with Haki made him realize that maybe Garon wasn't so different from them.

They had all experienced the loss of a loved one, but everyone reacts in a different way.
