The siblings were shocked by what they heard, although they believed Tai should have told them, they now understood that he lied not for malice but because he loves them so much and wants to protect them, even if they were his adopted siblings.
All of them stayed beside the oldest while he calmed down, after organizing his thoughts, he started speaking.
"I'm sorry for lying, but if the council found out about this you could have been kicked out of Genzo"
"It's alright Tai, but we want to hear everything"
"Of course" He took a deep breath before starting "After mom and Safiya were taken away, dad decided to marry again, this time to Takevu's mother"
He glanced at her "You don't remember this since you were very little" He continued.
"They tried to have a child without success so they decided to adopt, however, they had to do it in secret"
"Their plan was really smart though, they didn't just go and adopt, they calculated time lapses between adopting Hiroshi and adopting Haru so that it seemed like the queen had given birth to both"
"And they even had a backup plan, it's the testament that comes included in the envelope, it says that when the three of you became of age you would officially become part of the royal family, I'm not 100% sure if it was the only way to make it official but considering that the rulers testament must always be respected by everyone, including the council, it was a smart move"
"However, before coming of age, you still have the risk of being exiled, although mother has been trying for years to change this, without success, unfortunately"
"But they can't just exile us like that right? They would have to request a meeting"
"Honestly, I'm not so sure how the law works, I tried to investigate but it doesn't specify anything, I think it depends on factors like the reason behind the adoption and the education of the adopted heirs but that's my theory"
"I'm sorry, I couldn't risk having the secret out and when I realized you had found out I panicked, *sigh* how I hate when it comes to visit me"
"Brother it's alright" Hiroshi reassured him.
"Is it?"
Haru smiled at him "Of course, you did it to protect us"
"This only shows one thing" Takevu continued "That blood doesn't make a family, their bond does"
"You're right"
"I recommend that you're careful though" Safiya stated "I'll try to talk to the council about the law but for now it's best if you keep it between the 5 of us, at least for now"
"Alright, let's check this later, we're having a battle soon"
