The day had finally come, in this day, the fate of both kingdoms and all the habitants would be decided, they would either be saved or destroyed.
Tai had the confidence that they were going to win, their strategy was planned and all the armies were prepared to fight, but he couldn't let his guard now, he knew better than anyone that things can change when you least expect it.
The army from Yami had arrived, it was time to start.
It was such a familiar scene, being in Cheve, in front of Garon and his guards, this time though, he was prepared.
Takevu and Hiroshi were both hidden in the old buildings of the town along with their soldiers, Haru and the medical units were behind the rest of the armies ready to assist and Tai, Safiya and Haki were in front of the army facing the king.
"Prince Tai" Garon said mockingly "You're way smarter than I thought, I'm surprised"
"Before we start, there is something I must know King Garon" Usually he wouldn't be able to look at the mad King directly, but not anymore "Why did you let me live?"
"Oh believe me, I did though of sending you along with your dad" He didn't miss the disgusted glances he got from the royal twins "But I like to play with some of my victims, so, seeing you with that red mark on your eye gave me a far more entertaining idea"
"Humiliation" Safiya said between clenched teeth, it was clear she was containing her fury.
"Exactly" He looked at her "Honestly I should have killed you too when I had the chance, Princess Safiya"
"Father, stop this madness!" Haki knew it was useless, but he had to try "What happened to the loving man I once knew?"
"Haki, Haki, Haki, such a disappointment" His expression was nothing but cold towards his son "If I had known you would end up like this then I would have made sure you died as soon as you were born"
As much as they wanted to deny it, the three royals weren't surprised by Garon's words, it just proved what they already knew, he was nothing but a monster.
"I'm sorry Haki" Safiya looked at the young heir "We have no other choice but to end his life"
"I-It's alright" He glanced at the man he once called father, he wished things could be solved any other way, but he now accepted that he had been living a fantasy and that it was time to leave it in the past where it belonged "Go ahead"
"You won't get out of this alive" Garon smirked "I'll make sure to end all of you!"
"Not this time" Tai knew it was the moment they had all waited for "NOW!"
Suddenly, an army of arrows and javelins fell on the guards of the mad King.
"Soldiers ATTACK" As soon as Safiya gave the command, thousands of soldiers entered the battlefield, all determined to fight for their kingdom.
The battle was turning in favor of Tai's army and soon only the King was left.
"Everyone, retreat!" Obeying the princess order, the guards went back to be treated by the medical units.
"It's your turn Tai" Haki said to his friend "We're counting on you"
The future king nodded and took out his katana while approaching Yami's ruler.
