Draco

He did it again. He did. It. Again.

Madame Pomphrey already healed him, and now I'm just waiting.

"Hermione, have you any bloody idea why he would do this?" She sitting next to me, and she looks ... guilty. "Ron and him had another fight. Ron's tired of Harry being depressed, he wants his friend back. I'm not saying what he did was right, it was wrong, but I do understand. He just wants Happy Harry, not depressed Harry. I want Happy Harry, too, but he just took it the wrong way."

"What? What did Harry say?"

"He yelled at him, saying that Ron had never been abused, or raped, or had his name be 'freak', that he had no idea what he was going through, stuff like that. I don't think Ron knows, but when he finds out, he'll know what he did was wrong. God, that man needs to control his temper." She mutters the last part.

"How long did it take to heal him again? What time is it?" I look around for a clock. "Around three hours. It's almost five in the morning. Merlin's beard... That means he's been out for what, six hours? Holy shit..."

"Hmm?" Hermione seems off. Even more so than when Harry first tried. "He was so much better, Draco, and now he's right back where he started. Most likely the school will put him on suicide watch, and he might have to go to St. Mungos for a while." I thought he wouldn't have to go. He might just go insane if he has to go there. "He definitely won't go. You know him. Maybe... Maybe they could send him home early? To the Weasley's, I mean, because then he would get around a month out of school. And he wouldn't be around Ron, or anyone except- Wait, Mrs. Weasley doesn't know much about this, does she?"

"No. I think Remus sent her a letter from Harry's first, but not this one. Remember, he's at a conference? He himself doesn't know yer. Minnie won't send any owls yet, she doesn't know what to do, considering she didn't play a huge role last time. Last time wasn't so..."

"Violent?"

"Yeah. How are you holding-" Hermione starts to say something, but Harry's mouth moves. "Harry, are you awake? Does anything hurt, do you need anything?" His mouth moves again, but nothing comes out. I think he's trying to open his eyes. And he does, for a split second. "Harry, open your eyes, come on, you can do it."

It takes a while before he finally opens his eyes and they stay open. "Rem..." He whispers. "Where's Rem...?"

"He's at a conference in London, Hare." Hermione says softly. Tears start to from in his eyes fastly. "Rem... Want Rem."

"I'm so sorry, Harry. He'll be here as soon as he can." She says. It's not working. The tears flow. Of course he would want Remus, he's the closest thing Harry has to family now. "Where's Ron?"

"We don't know." I say after a moment. I'm not sure why he would want that git, after what he did. "It hurts." He says. "What does?"

"Everything. My head... everything."

"I'll go find Poppy, she can get you something for that." Hermione stands and leaves for Madam Pomfrey's office, leaving the two of us alone. "Harry, I..."

"It hurts, Dray." He says. "I was scared. I thought I was really going to die. I can't die, I don't want to."

"It's good that you don't want to." I say. I hold his hand in mine and rub my thumb over his skin. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He repeats. "Don't send me to St. Mungos. Please. Please don't."

"Could you hear us?" I ask. He nods. "Bits and pieces, yeah."

"We won't. We'll figure something out, but we won't send you there. I promise." I lift him off the bed slightly and pull him into an embrace. He doesn't hug back, but that's okay.
