Everyone's eyes widened at me except for the two girls beside me.
Alright Seolhi. Let's get it
"Yes my favourite daughter?" I smiled when I heard my dad's voice
"I'm your only daughter that's why" He chuckled on the other line as the guys still in shock
"Oh yes. Why did you call?"
"Do you perhaps know Kang Seolhi?" I asked and smirked
"I do know her,sweetie. In fact, her dad sent me a business proposal last time but I haven't seen it yet. They seemed like desperate about this proposal tho. Why did you ask?"
Hearing these kind of things makes me feel more excited
"Well dad, it's just that Seolhi is in debt with me and my friends" I heard my dad hummed
"Is that so? That kinda sounds interesting. Let's talk about it some time. I'll schedule it" He said and laughed
"Alright dad. Thanks. Love you" I said and chuckled
"My pleasure princess. Anytime. Love you too"
After I ended the call, Drette and Yoon immediately squealed. The guys look like they're now slightly recovered from shock unlike before.
"Oooh look. The royalty has finally made her move" Drette cooed and I chuckled
"But are you sure that it will be fine for your dad to help us? Well, of course he'll help you but us?" Jimin asked with hope in his eyes
"Our dad- Jimin" Everyone squealed and I looked down to hide my smile. Jimin covered his face with his hands as he smile widely.
"Okay but seriously is it fine for Mr. Lee to help us?" Namjoon asked
"If I'll tell you Yes, believe me it is" I said and gave them an assuring smile
My dad; Lee Hyeon who owns the Lee Corporation that's conglomerate with businesses in infrastructure, oil, and real estate industries. Aside from it, we also have an Airline company that's been functioning for over fifteen years and counting. In fact, that's where I worked before.
My dad and I are not used on being open to public when it comes to our personal lives. Though having these kind of businesses, we still find it comfortable to have the privacy that we want and deserve.
I only have few friends as so you know. I tried to socialize when I was in highschool but all of it didn't end up good. But gladly, I have Yoon, Drette, Aira and the guys now.
My mom and dad raised me saying that it's the best if a person will remain humble despite of what he has and where he is- and that's the kind of life what I live to.
"I'll just call you about my dad's schedule with us" I said and waved them goodbye as they took their leave after we talked
"You did the right thing and we're so happy for that and for you" Yoon said as the three of us hugged. Aira's missing in action because she's at the hospital, busy with her patients and appointments.
"But it'll be happier if I have chocolates from you, Captain" I said and we all laughed
"That's right. The best idea" Drette said and shows her two thumbs up
I can finally smile in the middle of these struggles. I finally learned how to stand up against all of this. Finally learned to face my problems and not to run away from it.
"I just wanted to tell you guys that the dinner will be at six" I said as I called Namjoon to inform them about the meeting with my dad after he scheduled it for the past few days
"Alright, thanks. We'll get ready"
"No problem. See you"
"Yeah, see you" Namjoon and I both said our goodbyes as I heard Drette and Yoon having a trouble inside my room
"What are you doing huh?" I said and laughed at their mess around
"Preparing for the dinner. How about you? Aren't you going to prepare?" Yoon said as she check her reflection on the mirror while Drette's checking her dress
"Sure I'll go get ready" I said and chuckled
"Dad!" I exclaimed as I run to him to give him a tight hug
"My daughter, glad to meet you again. How are you?- And my grandchild?" He asked and chuckled
"We're doing great dad and I'm so excited to meet my baby" I said and widely smiled
"Sure we are" Yoon said as she and Drette walk towards us
"How are you ladies?"
"We're fine uncle. Planning to become more successful just like what my dad said. Trying to handle one of his companies and two of our hotels" Drette said as they finally hugged each other
"We're doing great uncle. I just came back from sailing the cruise that Dad just newly bought for our cruising businesses" The same with Drette, Yoon and Dad hugged each other after exchanging their greetings
"That's good to hear. You're all an independent and growing successful now, my kids"
"I'm sorry we're a bit late" As we took our seats, the guys exactly came in
"It's alright gentlemen. No problem. Take your seats" My father sincerely smiled and everyone sat on their chairs around the long table as I have Jimin on my right and Dad on my left side, who's sitting at the centre.
Everyone's silent as if we're in a board meeting when my dad suddenly cleared his throat.
"Before anything else, I would like to talk to my son-in-law first. So Jimin" All of them looks nervous but I know my dad.
"I know what you did to my daughter. I'm kinda disappointed to you. It's just hard to accept that you can actually do that thing to my daughter, as far as I wanted to take it more seriously, be grateful that she stopped me as I was about to make an action about it. Maybe, I'll learn to forgive you about it just like my daughter did. I'm just hoping that you'll not do it again or els-"
"Dad, that's enough" I cut off my dad and pouted as he sigh and chuckled. I know dad is just being protective to me and I am glad that he is.
"My sincere apologies Mr. Lee and I promise that I'll never hurt your daughter again" Jimin said and bowed as he stood up
"Just call me Dad, like before. You're still my son-in-law and daughter's husband anyway" Dad said and smiled
"Yes dad" Jimin said as he bowed again and take his seat
I looked at Jimin as I felt his hands on mine. I sincerely smiled as he mouthed Thank you.
"Why don't we talk about that Seolhi and her issues to all of you while we eat?"
