In this dream my family was on vacation in Nashville, but it seriously looked nothing like Nashville. By that I mean I don't remember there ever being so many extravagant, elegant, and beautifully designed gigantic shops everywhere. It was actually really cool looking. We were walking around and it kind of reminded me of being in a huge fair because there were rides and attractions as well.

There were even small rides for your pets and stuff, like little merry-go-rounds for them. There was an area dedicated to it, and you could see on each seat there was intended to be a certain animal there, like a dog, cat, even pig?

As we walked around my brother was telling me that once Switzerland becomes a country (in this dream Switzerland didn't exist for some reason) our uncle is going to get a mansion there. He was talking about how France, Germany, and Italy were really bickering over territory in that particular area, and how it really should just become its own country so they can stop fighting.

We got on one of the rides (it was one of those spinny ones. "It's been so long" by the Living Tombstone started playing on the radio and me and my brother started singing along to it 😂
There was a lady there working the rides and she said we "knew how to party."

After that we found a haunted house attraction. But it wasn't just any haunted house. It was freaking gigantic. It was literally an entire horror amusement park inside a house.

I had been hearing a lot about this one controversial horror ride on social media that was meant for 6-8 year olds (but older people can still ride it) where three of them would sit in seats and the ride would have this screen in front of them, like a movie theatre screen, that would start off in some creepy area, jumpscare them, and then bring them on some kind of 4D adventure through a bunch of horrifying things. it was controversial because some said the jumpscares were "too much" for children.

Lo and behold one of those rides was actually there. Me and my brother decided to try it. We got in line, but for some reason my brother cut in front of like 5 kids (which is not something he would ever do in real life.) The kids got annoyed, and I joked, "sorry, my brother doesn't know how lines work" and brought him back to my spot in line.

When you're in line, you can see the other rides in session happening right in front of you. The lines are in the same room as the actual ride.

I saw three elementary schoolers buckle themselves into the seats (the seats had motion) in front of the screen and I saw the screen illuminate.. this time it was Five Nights at Freddy's themed (the screen had multiple scary scenarios that it flipped through and there would be a different one every time you sat down.)

It started off in the pizzeria, dark, but you could see the animatronics. Chica stared directly at you. A single light turned on. Then the animatronic jumped straight at the screen, screaming, before the screen turned black.

The children were completely unfazed (gen alpha is a force to be reckoned with, huh.)
At this point in time I had my eyes shut because animatronics freak me tf out.

Even though I had my eyes closed, I still knew exactly what was happening on screen. When the screen illuminated again, you were at a table and the animatronics picked you up and ripped you apart and then ate you, and you could watch it all happening on screen. It was so disgusting, and I didn't even see it.

When the screen turned off the children clapped and said, "that wasn't so bad."

Then it was 6:00, and the ride operator said that that was the last round of showings for this ride, and now it is closed. I didn't want to go on it anymore anyway.

At this point in the dream I forgot my brother was there and I started walking aimlessly around the haunted house.

"Hey Salty," I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around to see one of the boys from my school, accompanied by another boy I knew.

"Check your google docs."

I knew what was happening. There was a prank going around where if you saw someone you knew in a public area, you would share a google doc with them containing nothing but a link to the music video of Never Gonna Give You Up.

I already knew what he was playing at, but I decided to humor him, opening up my phone, and heading to the Google Docs app-

"Hey, what are you doing?"

It was my Mom's voice, and she did not sound happy.

"Are you hanging out with strangers? Get over here." She pulled me away. "Don't let me catch you doing that again. I thought you were better than this."

I explained to her that these were boys I knew from school (and shouldn't she recognize them as well? They went to my elementary school for crying out loud) and she let me go, immediately apologizing.

I knew for sure the identity of the boy who had told me to open my Google Docs, but I didn't quite get a look at the other one.

I looked at him, and I asked, "are you Wade (obviously not his real name)?"

He nodded. His face looked red and puffy like he had been crying.

After that I walked away and into another room. It wasn't really an attraction or anything, but in this room there were a lot of ghosts. In this big room there were a lot of crevices and corners to get lost in, and once you were the only living person in a radius of about 6 feet, a ghost would appear.

I didn't feel comfortable around the ghosts at all. They were smiling and staring at me and whispering inaudibly. I backed out of the area and rejoined with the crowd of people

I was standing beside a closet, and I saw the door was slightly ajar. I peered inside, and something pushed me in.

Inside was a giant mirror that covered the whole wall and inside there was a video. I figured this was another attraction. A disembodied female voice told me my "torture" was about to begin.

Not really wanting to watch any of whatever the hell is about the happen on screen, I closed my eyes and instead imagined the things that would happen.

Several minutes had passed and the ride still wasn't over. I heard the noises of things happening on screen, screams, the breaking of glass, but I didn't dare reopen my eyes.

Then, finally, I woke up in a sweat. That was an interesting dream, that's for sure..
