Deidara x Reader (Love is a bang)

You hugged onto Deidara, the fear of falling off far worse than the fear of losing your dignity.

—A bit back—

As the bird took a sharp turn, your feet nearly gave out under you so you grabbed Deidara's cloak before hugging him tightly from behind. Deidara seemed to pause for a moment before he chuckled. "Appreciate my art that much, yeah?" he said.

You puffed up your cheeks and bit as you felt your cheeks burn up but you bit your tongue for a moment before you opened your mouth and spoke up. "No, I just don't wanna fall off and die."

—back into reality—

"So how do you stay up here for so long without the fear of falling off? And how much longer does it take?" You asked, peeking down. "It makes me calm when I'm up here. It's something I get used to, un." He replied to you, not answering the other question. You eyed him, wondering if he would answer the next question before you decided he wouldn't answer it and looked around.

You two have traveled for awhile. "So you traveled this much to get to me?" You asked him. He looked at you before nodding. "Un, that's right." He answered simply. "So why am I important?" You then ask. "Because your amount of chakra and power could be useful" he said.

"Although your jutsu can use some work, un" he smirked and turned to you slightly to see your reaction. You looked down and chuckled. "I guess I can use some improvement." You admitted. "I just started practicing my jutsu" you scratched the back of your head as you told him.

"Are you really sure I can join the Akatsuki?" You say, suddenly feeling insecure. "I'm not that strong and I'm sure you can find other people." You told him and he turned to you slowly. "What made you naive so suddenly?" He asked you and you just frowned. "Dunno, just happens" you told him quietly and he just sighed. "We're almost there" he told you.

You were thinking about what he said. 'Because your amount of chakra and power could be useful' is exactly what he said. You looked down. Maybe this was true. You would find out sometime soon. You huff and snap out of your thoughts. You pulled away from Deidara before just holding his cloak with one hand. The bird was going lower and lower. "It's here, un" Deidara told you and you jumped off the bird when it was safe enough to. "Here?" You asked him. Deidara jumped after you and walked you into a cave.

You tilt your head in confusion. Deidara put his hands together and suddenly other people were summoned but they looked.. glitchy. "Deidara" one spoke up with a husky voice. You looked at everyone of them and noticed these were all Akatsuki members. "Have you brought the girl" a man with piercings asked and you stared at him for a moment before noticing his eyes. They had rings and were purple. "The Rinnegan." You breathed to yourself before you heard somebody else talk.

"Do we really need this girl?" Their voice was a bit higher than the first. You eyed them to notice his shark like figure. He had sharp teeth. And a huge sword like thing wrapped in on his bag. You stared at him for a moment as well before turning to the next speaker.

"Yaay! A new friend!" A high like male voice spoke. You saw a person with a mask. The mask had spirals to his eye area and most- or all of his face was hidden. His black hair could only be seen a little.

"Shut up, Tobi, un!" Deidara spat, sounding annoyed. "Deidara, Toby. Go get her the cloak and take her with you guys to catch the three tails." The Rinnegan spoke before everybody disappeared. The masked man ran into the building and he yelled out "Tobi is here!" Before he walked up to you and gave you the cloak. You were already wearing a kimono like thing. You eyed Deidara. He clearly knew what you were thinking.

"If you want, I can get you some clothes and pants, although they're not for women-" he said shyly, crossing his arms. "Hmm- thanks!" You eventually said, smiling at him. This was awkward. Deidara began to walk away and you slowly turned to Tobi. "Hi" you slowly spoke. "Hello!" Tobi loudly spoke back enthusiastically as he stretched out the 'o'. You smiled and looked up. It was now silent. Something you enjoyed a lot back in the old base. You were free from them.

Suddenly, pain grew in your shoulder-neck area and you screamed, falling to the ground and digging your nails into the soil. Deidara rushed back with clothes before he put his hands together and summoned everybody back again. "We needed to seal away the curse mark" Deidara spoke calmly and everybody nodded. "I still feel like this is a waste of time." The shark like person smiled before putting his hands together to help anyways. You were surrounded and you looked at your own skin to see it was now gray. As you let out a snarl, you glared at everybody around you, losing your consciousness.

You gasped and woke up, feeling tired yet light. You look around the cave to see that it had been slightly destroyed and there was a jar placed next to you. You looked up to see Deidara eyeing you, biting his lips as he did so. "You can really cause some great trouble, un" he sighed as he stood up from the ground and handed you your new clothes. Feeling your face turn red, you had guessed what happened. "Thanks.." you muttered. Deidara just eyed you with amusement and smiled. He seemed to be thinking for awhile before he spoke up again "un, You're free from that snake freak's curse so now I can try to help you train after the three tails.. un.." he trailed off. Chuckling at this, you picked up the clothes and walked away with a smile planted onto your face.

((I think the three tails thing was only on the anime and not on the comics because catching the three tails was a filler- if you didn't watch the anime you should watch it- most fillers in Naruto Shippuden is nice and worth watching)
