You bent over the two dead bodies with a smirk. "I really hope they didn't update the bingo book. I'd hate killing people for no reason" you murmured before you grabbed both men and threw them over your shoulder. You took a deep breath and began to walk, deep in thought about your jutsu. Before you left, you had heard about the plan, Edo Tensei and technically ending the world. You clicked your tongue and jumped onto a branch. Maybe if that was going to happen, you shouldn't preform your jutsu until everything was done. You looked up silently and felt a sigh roll out of your mouth.
This was all a thought of if anybody was able to stop Madara from ending the world. You guessed that Naruto would try but would he be able to? You sighed yet again and landed on the ground, gripping harder onto the corpses as you felt desperate to escape this empty void that ate you slowly. Your eyes always felt so heavy and you couldn't think because of the grief. The grief you pretended that didn't exist.
"Deidara is showing me the greatest art, pain." You said, breathing in air again in an attempt to calm yourself down. He died doing what he wanted, and he became his own art, and your art. You couldn't hate him. "Edo tensei. Maybe I can see him again" you smiled as you arrived. You entered the building and smiled at the man who greeted you. "I hope you didn't update the bingo books yet, because I killed these two already" you chuckled, gently placing the corpses onto the table that seemed to have been an operation table once.
"Hmm" he hummed, inspecting the body. "Yeah, this is definitely the people from the bingo book" he confirmed and nodded to you. "Ah! Wonderful. I'll just leave the bodies here then" you stated and took the money he gave you. "I'll be back." You said and tipped your straw hat before jumping out of the building. The straw hat remained tipped over, the shadow hiding your face as you continued to walk back to the base.
You weren't a known member from the akatsuki. It wasn't a surprise. You didn't like the public so you often went on missions that wouldn't gather too much attention. Maybe the only people that knew you were an Akatsuki member was Shikamaru and two others. Naruto only knew you from the time you stayed with Orochimaru and Sasuke, that's if Shikamaru didn't tell anybody anything.
"He better have given me credit to his victory if he snitched on me" you chuckled as you arrived at the base and tossed the money into your room. By the time you arrived, the moon was up and it was probably midnight or so. You eyed the money. That's the money for your food this month. "Now that that's done" you sighed as you flopped onto your bed, face first.
"What do I do?" You frowned as you hugged your pillow, grief gripping your heart as you turned to face the wide ceiling like cave top. You felt a tear escape your eyes. "Why did you have to do such a thing?" You asked out in a shaky voice, as if expecting Deidara to answer your question.
"You're being loud" you heard a familiar voice and quickly hid your face with your arms. "Let me handle grief like a sane person, Sasuke" you said calmly. "Appreciate the fact I'm not acting like you and that I'm not handling grief like you." You then added. Sasuke stayed silent before he sat on the edge of your bed. The chilling presence of him calmed you down.
You let out a sigh and began to close your eyes. "Did you just come to give me some company?" You quietly asked him, only the dim moonlight allowing you to see the outline of his face. His expression was dull and hateful as he looked at the ground. "Oh yeah. You're handling with a death too." You said before leaning forward. You gently leaned onto Sasuke's shoulder and held your breath. "Everything gets better and all it takes it time" you softly said and closed your eyes, finally falling into sleep.
As you woke up next morning, you stretched and gently stood up upon seeing Sasuke to be gone. You walked to the corner of the room and smiled. You saw a clay piece that looked like the mark Deidara had on his chest. You picked it up and did hand signs before blowing fire onto it and hearing it up. You eyed the steaming clay and swallowed a lump in your throat before pushing the clay piece onto your neck. You had made this when he still existed and joked to mark yourself with this to show the word that you were his.
Now here you were, doing exactly what you told him you would do. The burning pain made you clench your teeth and squint your eyes as you forced yourself to push the piece on. Sweat rolled down your cheek from relief as you pulled the clay piece away. You knew it would leave a mark just like you wanted it to. You grabbed your Akatsuki cloak and put it on, hiding it with the collar. You walked out of the room to be greeted by the other akatsuki members. Suigetsu, Karin, Jūgo and Sasuke. You silently greeted them with a nod before you actually spoke up "let's go"
(If you don't know the mark that I'm talking about- the picture is posted above so check that out!)
