Foxy the pirate is a main antagonist in Five Nights At Freddy's. When he was alive, his human name was fritz. He is an out-of-order, worn down animatronic and is a major part of the game who becomes active on night 2 and rarely active on night 1. Foxy has a behavior simular to Freddy Fazbear because they are both characters that you have to keep a eye on so they won't move from their starting spot. Foxy really doesn't have a path because he doesn't move to different spaces. He starts at pirates cove, Not the stage. Once he is out of pirates cove, he will run down the left hall way and will jumpscare you and end the game if you don have the left door closed by the time he gets there.

Foxy has a appearance that shows his endoskeleton and has a hook for his right hand.

Personality: Unlike the other animatronics were shown to be nice and joyful during the day, Foxy is rather treated like a outcast that some people would pay no attention too. But he does not show his real personality to the customers; like the rest of his band mates, at night Foxy will become a dangerous and manipulative robot once the night guard takes his place in the office.

Foxy's behavior is unique in that rather than randomly moving around the rooms, Foxy will stay behind the curtains in Pirate Cove and gradually becomes more active throughout the night. The less the player looks at the camera feed, the faster he becomes active. If Foxy becomes fully active, he will leave Pirate Cove and almost immediately appear in the Security Office, killing the player instantly. Foxy basically hides himself from the player if he is viewed on the monitors.

Some players interpret the fact that Foxy runs to the Office, bangs at the door and heavily screams without jumping at the player as a warning rather than attempted murder, which would actually means that Foxy want to help the night guard, but unintentionally kills him anyway (probably from a heart-attack). If this is true, Foxy might be a well-intentioned extremist, but this hasn't been confirmed yet. Also, one fact that contradict this theory is that Foxy participle in Phone Guy's murder, along the rest of the gang. Also, Foxy jumps at the night guard in the second game.

He is similar to Michael Afton as his intentions are very unclear (however, he still functions as an antagonist).

The Bite of '87 Theory

During the early days of Five Nights at Freddy's it was commonly theorized that Foxy was responsible for The Bite of 87. People might think this because Foxy's jaw is broken, which could be a result of biting down on a customer, and his sharp teeth and elongated mouth make him the most capable of serious damage. That also explains why Pirate Cove is closed down, and why Foxy was set aside.

After the fourth game was released, many people can to believe that Fredbear was the culprit after witnessing the night 5 minigame in Fnaf 4. However it is later confirmed by Scott Cawthon (Creator of the Five Nights at Freddys games) that this was not the bite of 87. Instead it was the bite of 83.

Additionally, before the fourth game's release and after the second game's release, a lot of evidence proved that Foxy was NOT responsible for the bite:

He was kept in the back room along with the other old animatronics in the second game, which would make it hard for him to actually bite someone. If he actually was responsible for the bite, then all of the old animatronics would've been scrapped for good, but it was the toy animatronics that were scrapped for good due to them possibly malfunctioning. In addition, in the first game, if you pay attention to the first few frames of Foxy's jumpscare, you can see that his jaw is closed before he opens it, suggesting that he still has control over his jaw, and it's not permanently stuck open.

Five Nights at Freddy's: In the first Five Nights at Freddy's game, Foxy first becomes active on night 2 but rarely becomes active on night 1.

The only time he becomes active is when the player rarely looks at the monitors. He will begin to peek out of the curtains at pirates cove. When he completely gone, then the who curtain will be open. The sign on pirates cove says ¨out of order¨ but a rare scene in the game is that the sign will switch to the words ¨ITS ME¨

When you go to the monitor that Foxy is on when he is completely gone, the monitor will switch to the west hall and it will show a glimpse of Foxy running down the left hallway to your office. If you are fast enough, you will be able to stop him with the left door. When you close the door on him, you will be able to hear him knocking on the door. If you are not fast enough to stop him, then he will jumpscare you and end your game. He jumpscares you from the left door way.

Ultimate Custom Night

Foxy in ultimate custom night has a same behavior as he does in the first game but a little different. The difference is that he does not run down a hall way to jumpscare you.

Explanation for Ultimate custom Night: "He inhabits Pirate's Cove along with Bonnie, and while you shouldn't view Pirate's Cove when Bonnie is active, it's a necessity when Foxy is. Foxy will gradually make his exit if you don't check on him regularly, and once he's out, there's no way to make him go back. He also has a new trick up his sleeve to get into your office: he gets in piece by piece. He will find any vulnerability in your office and slip in chunks of himself (arms, legs, head, torso) through any open vent or open door, until all of his fragments are inside. Once there, he will wait for you to pull up your monitor before putting himself back together and jumpscaring you. He sometimes will not attack if you have the camera on Pirate's Cove and his figure is on the desk."

Most Characters in Ultimate Custom Night have voice lines when they kill you but not all of them. Foxy has a couple of voice lines.

Voice lines Of foxy the Pirate:

-¨Yar-har-har-har-har! Never underestimate the cunning of a pirate or a foxy for that matter¨

-¨Argh, ya never stood a chance!¨

-¨Argh, I came for ye booty! ... That be treasure, y'know¨

-¨I can't run like I used to, but I can pull myself apart just fine!¨

-¨Arr, so much more spacious in here! I may stay a while¨
