The red shadowy being reached out another hand and brought it uncomfortably close to my face while I could do nothing but stand in fear, frozen stiff in my place and staring wide eyed at it's huge, sharp, claws.

'I can't move...'

Slowly, my eyes trailed along it's claws, starting from the base and slowly making their way up to the tips, my body instinctively tensing up when I saw that it's claws went into a curve at the ends, almost like little hooks 'That would definitely rip skin just trying to get it out' that thought alone made me gulp and sweat nervously.

It feels like with every encounter with this monster, I learned something new about it.

The claws were terrifying but it's eyes would be the thing that would haunt me, they were glowing a bright sinister yellow and it's pupils were the size of pinpricks with black holes in the irises. it was completely and utterly unnatural 'Is this it? Is this the end? By the looks of this monster it looks like it is' I squeezed my eyes shut, not wanting to look at the being that would soon end my life.

'This thing is probably what got Mom'

I harshly bit my tongue to avoid screaming in fear; a sickening metallic taste assaulted my tongue from biting so hard that it drew blood 'I'm not giving it what it wants, it probably enjoys toying around with people and torturing them before killing them' I could feel my heartbeat pick up and race in my chest.

I was sure that if the monster didn't kill me, my heart would.

I flinched when I felt a hooked claw touch the tip of my nose and I grimaced in pain when the claw dug into my skin, no doubt drawing blood 'It's probably going to rip my nose off' I clenched my eyes tightly as tears traveled down my face.

My fists trembled in anticipation and my legs burned, almost buckling from the strain of keeping the rest of myself standing up in this awkward position.

I waited and waited but nothing else happened and against my better judgement, I slowly opened my right eye to peak at what the monster was doing and saw it looking at me with it's pointer finger still on my nose.

'Is it...is it booping my nose?'

I was completely dumbfounded by this, it's eyes darted to stare into mine when it noticed me staring up at it, the many black circles in it's eyes opening and closing individually.

'Wait, why does this seem so familiar?'

The shadowy being slowly pulled it's hand away from my nose and pushed me forward while releasing my head at the same time. Allowing me to stand normally with my back turned to the peculiar monster.

I didn't keep my back turned to the monster for long and quickly turn around, not wanting any surprise attacks and to my utter shock and confusion I saw no monster, only emptiness.

'What...just happened?'

I felt frozen to my spot, still trying to process the events that just happened when a voice outside caught my attention 'Mom?' Strangely but thankfully she sounded normal, a total contrast to the thing from earlier.

I couldn't help but to be apprehensive about approaching the door, scared that she'll still look like a corpse.

'Do I dare think this nightmare is over?'

She rapidly knocked, almost beating at the door at this point "Maria open this door right now!" I was taken aback by that, staring at the door with my mouth agape.
