Sam's pov

"Sammy wake up" Colby shook me I groaned slightly and turned over "get up and get ready for the party" I sighed and sat up and rubbed my eyes tiredly. "Get ready now before were late" I nodded and stretched and got up "I'll come back once I'm done getting ready" he kissed my forehead "ok" I smiled and went to my apartment. I went through my closet and grabbed short shorts and a crop top and I went to the shower. I got out 20 minutes later and got dressed and I went back to Colby's

I walked in his apartment and didn't see him so he's probably getting dressed or something I grabbed dog food and fed Stormy and put new water in his bowl. I went to that one cupboard that had the cookies I opened it and there was a new thing of chocolate chip cookies I tried reaching for them but I couldn't reach so I hoped on the counter and reached for them and I got it and I grabbed one and put it back. I sat on the counter and ate it while scrolling through instagram. Colby came and stood in between my legs so I put my phone down "hi" I giggled and took a bite of my cookie "how'd you get that" I giggled and shrugged "well I'm moving them" "what why!" "Cause when your in little space your gonna want one and now you know how to reach them" I groaned "fiiinnee" he took a bite of my cookie "hey!" He chuckled "we should get going" I nodded and went to jump off but he picked me up "hey! Put me down!" He chuckled and put me down "you need anything else" I nodded and went in his room and grabbed my bag and went back in the kitchen and put my phone in it "ok I'm ready"

He was driving for about 5 minutes and I was getting bored then I realized I don't know what this party is even for. "Hey Colbs" "yeah baby" "what's this party for" "it's a surprise party for Devyn" I nodded and I remember that the others will be there too it's ok I'll just stay away from them I'll wish Devyn a happy birthday then stay with Colby I reassured myself. "We're here" I smile and I looked out the window to see Elton "c-could you stay with me the whole t-time" "of course baby" we got out and I run to his side immediately he chuckles and we walked in the house and are greeted with Jake.

"Hey you made it!" "Yep!" "Hey Sam" "hi" "so Devyn and Corey will be here any minute talk for now but hide when I say so just join the others in the other rooms" Jake explained "ok I'll talk to you later" and we walked to the other room and there were other people here talking "hey guys!" Tara said as she ran up to us "hey Tara" Colby said they start talking and I zone out getting lost in my thoughts trying to fight back from slipping in little space like what if something bad happens? What if Colby leaves without me? What if I slip in little space and everyone ends up hating me? What if- "Sam!" Tara yelled I jumped "uh what" "are you ok" "mhm" I start to dig my fingers in the palm of my hand "Sammy don't do that" Colby said and detached my hands "sorry" "do you guys want some drinks" "I'm ok" I say and start doing the thing again "Colby want anything" "nah I'll get one later" "oh ok well I'm gonna go by Jake now" we nodded and she left "Sam stop" I didn't hear what he said because if my thoughts I wince in pain and look at my had "shoot" "what happened" "n-nothing" I put my hands down knowing he said to stop "baby what happened" "uhh I uh" I start fiddling with my fingers he takes my hands and looks at them and sighs "I told you to stop" "sorry" I looked down in defeat "baby it's ok do you have band aids in your bag" "yeah" I take my bag off and grab a pink band aid and put it on "THEY'RE AROUND THE CORNER HIDE!" Jake yells and we all hide and stay quiet

Soon the door opens "SURPRISE!!" everyone tells in unison Devyn giggles "thank you guys you didn't have too!" She stars to have a conversation with Jake, Corey, and Tara and I turn to Colby "is this all the people coming" "no more people will be coming later" "o-ok" "you'll be fine baby I'll be by you the whole time" he said and grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers "thank you" I smiled. music started blasting through out the house the party has officially started

"Let's go by the group where Jake is at" I looked over and I was only afraid of Corey so I nodded and we walked over to the corner of the room hand in hand "baby I'm gonna get a drink I'll be back" Corey said and left as we got there "oh hi guys" "hey!" Colby said but soon started talking to Jake "hey Sam!" "H-hi happy birthday" "thank you" she smiled I didn't know what to say I barley knew anyone I started fidgeting with Colby's rings. "Hi Sam!" I looked up and it was Tara I smiled "hi" "I love your out fit" Devyn said "t-thank you" me, Tara, and Devyn started talking and I was comfortable around Devyn now "baby let's get a drink" Colby whispered to me I nodded "I'll be back" I told the two girls and they nodded. We started to walk to the drinks and I grabbed a water not being a fan of alcoholic drinks and Colby grabbed a white claw and we stood there for a bit talking "I'm proud of you" Colby said I looked at him confused "for what" "for making up with Devyn and being more comfortable around her" I smiled "she's really nice" "so are the others but I won't force you to talk with them I'll give you time" I smiled "ok let's get back, yeah" I nodded we were walking over and Corey was over there and I gripped on Colby's hand "hey hey he's not bad he's one of my closest friends he's funny and nice you'll be fine just try and talk to him ok?" "I-i d-" "hey Sam!" Corey yells and cuts me off "h-hi" Colby rubs the back of my hand with his thumb and I calm down a bit as long as he's here I'll be fine I'll talk to them one at a time and take it slow. "Sooo are you two together" he asked I blushed and looked at the floor sheepishly "yeah we are" Colby squeezed my hand and Devyn squeals "you two are cuuteee" I giggle and the others laugh a bit as well. "Oh Sam by the way Im so sorry what happened in the past I can explain i-" "y-you c-can ex-explain later for n-now I-i just want t-to get comfortable w-ith you as I-i did Devyn" Colby squeezed my hand again I smile "sounds good and thank you for at least going me a chance" I smile we all continued to talk and Corey is really funny like Jake.

We were all laughing at the stupid jokes that was made and Aaron comes over and Colby squeezes my hand I look up at him and whisper to him "w-what's he like" "he's polite and genuine and pretty quiet but he'll be talkative if he wants and he can be funny as well he usually plays along with Corey's jokes" I nodded I was about to say something but didn't get the chance to "hey guys!" They talked and I didn't say anything and Aaron took notice "Sam are you ok" I looked up at him and gave him a small smile "y-yeah" "you sure" "mhm" he's nice but he didn't really talk to me probably because he doesn't quite know me yet the rest of the time I didn't talk "hey baby are you ok" Colby whispered to me "mhm" "hey guys!!" I looked over and seen Elton and I gripped in Colby's hand hard "ow baby, baby let's step out for a second ok" I nodded still staring at Elton "we'll be back" Colby pulled me away "s-sorry I didn't m-mean to hurt you" "it's ok but are you ok you haven't talked much since Aaron got there" I nodded "it's just that I can't really get used to him if he doesn't talk much either also I just didn't know what to say" "ah ok why did you squeeze my hand like that" "Elton he-" I stopped myself I don't like what he did I hate him I don't think I can forgive him that easily like the others. "Sam!" Colby waved his hand in my face "oh I'm sorry" "it's ok but what about Elton" "he um he was the worst besides Brennen he would do it the hardest like all the anger he has he lets it all out on me. sure there was guilt in his eyes but not much I can't forgive him like the others I'm sorry but I can't" "ok baby it's ok I don't know what he did and you don't have to tell me I want you to enjoy this party" I nodded "I won't force you to talk but at least talk some and if he says hi say hi back ok baby" I nodded he kissed my forehead "c'mon"

We were walking back to the group "wait" I stopped "what's wrong" "what's he like" he chuckled "let's just say he's pretty much an uncle and can be overprotective at times" I smiled a bit "we call him uncle Elton too" "that all" "pretty much besides the fact that if your close to him he will force you to do things you don't want to do but not too bad of things more of a joke" I nodded "ok c'mon" we walked back to the group "hey Colby!" "Hey uncle Elton!" I giggled a bit and Colby smiled when he heard it "oh hi Sam" I looked up at him and didn't say anything no emotion in my face but my eyes said it all mostly fear Colby squeezed my hand "h-h-hey" I smiled a fake one obviously Elton smiled and put his hand on my shoulder I yelped and jumped back "Sammy, Sammy it's ok he wasn't going to hurt you" I started to shake "shit" Elton mumbled "Sam I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that I wasn't going to hurt you" Elton said I ignored him but I took notice when he stepped closer and I backed away and bumped into some person "watch it!" I turned around and started to shake even more and I started to breathe heavy and I fell to my knees "dude calm down he didn't mean to leave him alone alright" Jake said to the man

My throat felt like it was closing up and I was breathing very heavy "baby breathe" I kept breathing heavy he pulled me in his lap with my head in his chest "listen to my heart and try to even out your breathing, deep breaths baby" there was a lot of 'is he okay' around the room "EVERYONE GO BACK TO DOING WHATEVER AND GIVE THEM SPACE" Jake yelled and they did but I started shaking more Colby rubbed my back "your ok don't mind them" a tear rolled down my face my chest hurt he wiped it "I'm gonna put you against the wall" and he did and sat next to me and took my hand and put it on his chest "feel the beat of my heart and take deep breaths with each beat" and I did

5 minutes later I finally calm down "here baby drink some water" he handed me my water bottle and I took a drink and I hugged him and he hugged back "thank you" "your welcome baby" we pulled away and got up from the floor and we walked back to the group and I looked down sad "is he ok what happened" I didn't look up I didn't know who it was but there was worry evident in the voice "Aaron he's fine he had a panic attack but he's ok now" I looked up and seen Aaron he looks very concerned and worried and it's all about me and he barley even knows me he is a good person I smile "I-im ok Aaron" he smiled "good now let's get back" I nodded he turned around and walked in front of us I smiled "he's nice" Colby hummed in response and we made it to the group and I was still a bit sad "good your ok!" Devyn said relieved "I'm sorry" I whispered "wait why you have done nothing wrong" "I ruined the party" "Sam you didn't its still going on and if it ended I wouldn't care as long as your ok" I smiled a bit "ok" "hey baby do you want to go home now" "woah woah woah back up there you are staying!" Jake said I giggled "I'll stay Colbs" "you sure" "yeah" I smiled.
