Steps were heard all over the place followed by the sound of heavy luggage being dragged around on the ground.

Her eyes wandered around for a moment before stopping at the person standing in front of her. "So, I guess this is goodbye?"

He pouted. "Do you really have to go though?" he asked. "You can stay here with me."

She put on a smile while reaching out for his hand. "I need to go. You know that, right?"

The guy in front of her looked down at the ground, feeling uneasy with the thought that they'd be separated in just a moment. When she told him that she planned to study abroad a few years ago, he supported her wholeheartedly, but they both knew that deep down it was hard for him to do so.

She was the love of his life. He literally couldn't imagine a life without her as she meant the whole world to him. He sometimes would blame himself for not having the same dream as her because if he did, they would always be together without having to separate like this.

A month ago was their high school graduation and it just hit them that their future was already in front of their faces sooner than they had expected. She didn't want to leave him and everything that she had with him, but it was her dream to do this. She had been accepted to one of those world-renowned universities and it'd be a waste if she didn't take it, so she committed to do it.

"What if you forget about me? I mean, England is full of good looking people and you know, perhaps you-"

"Shut it, Park Jimin," she said with her index finger pushed against his lips. "I love you, okay? Don't overthink it. Remember our little promise?"

He smiled. "To always keep each other in mind even if we would no longer be together," they both said the same time.

She chuckled, then she looked at her man's eyes with the fondest smile. "You'll come visit me?"

"I'll surprise you," he said, causing the both of them to giggle.

"I'm sorry, Jimin," she said, "that I have to leave like this. I know it's hard for both us."

He once again smiled. "Just promise me that you won't forget me," he said as he pulled her into his arms.

"I promise," she said as I hugged him back.

An announcement was then heard, letting passengers of Korean Air number 834 to England had arrived and that everyone should stand by the gate. It was time.

"So, that's my cue to leave," she said while grabbing her luggage. "I'll see you, Park Jimin."

"I'll see you too, Jung Jihyun."

Jihyun then picked up her bags and went inside the airport before turning around one more time to wave her hand to her man, not knowing that it would be her last time to see him.
