Taehyung

I couldn't sleep well that night for some reasons. I woke up at 4 AM and couldn't go back to sleep.

I was getting myself a cup of coffee when my phone rang. I furrowed my eyebrows as I saw the caller ID before I picked it up.

"Sojin?"

"Hi, Tae! Sorry for suddenly calling you like this," she said across the line.

She sounded like in a hurry so I asked, "What's the matter, Sojin? Is everything okay?"

There was a silence for like a second before her voice started to become more like a whisper. "Um, I'm walking home right now from the grocery store but I feel like someone is following me and I'm scared," she said. "Can you please stay on the line? I need to feel secure."

"Where are you right now?"

"I'm standing near the bus stop. There's another person here so it minimizes the chance of me being kidnapped haha," she said, followed by an awkward laugh.

She sounded really terrified, so I got into my car fast and rushed to the bus stop near Sojin's house while still staying on the phone with her in case something happened.

I finally arrived and I saw Sojin hiding behind the phone booth. I opened the window of my car and waved my hand to her. She saw me and smiled widely before she rushed to my car.

"Taehyung, oh thank God," she said, trying to catch her breath. "I'm so sorry for dragging you out here. You must have been sleeping."

"No, no. It's fine. I was awake, don't worry," I said, then I saw a guy with a black hoodie and a black cap turning away and left the location quickly. "Oh, my God, Sojin, that could be the serial killer we've been trying to catch."

She widened her eyes and trembled a bit at the thought that she could've been murdered by a wanted serial killer. I then turned on the police siren and ran after the guy, but my brain hadn't fully functioned at that moment so he disappeared to nowhere and I couldn't find him. I hit my steering wheel out of frustration.

I looked to my right and held her trembling hand. "It's okay, Sojin. You're safe now," I said and she nodded.

She seemed to be too terrified to be left alone and her house wasn't exactly the safest place at the moment since Mr. Choi seemed to know where she lived, so I brought her to my home.

"It's been so long since the last time I went here," she said.

We then had a fun conversation throughout the morning even until the sun began to rise, talking as if we were attracted to each other like we used to. However, the attraction was still there, so that led to us hooking up in the middle of an early morning.

"God, I forgot how amazing you are in bed," she said and I chuckled. "Jihyun is missing out aaaall of these."

"Wait, how do you know about Jihyun?"

She scoffed. "Please. Everyone knows about it except you and Jihyun," she said, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "Both of your eyes tell everyone that there's no way you two are only friends."

"If you knew about Jihyun all along, why would you still go out with me?"

She let out a chuckle. "Well, I'd just like to give it a chance," she said. "So how are things with you and her?"

I shrugged. "Eh, I told her I'm in love with her but she turned me down. We're good though," I said and it took me a while before I realized what she said. "Wait, wait. Did you say she looks at me the same way I look at her?"

"Yeah. It's pretty obvious, Tae. I really wonder how you didn't notice it."

"So are you saying she likes me too?"

She rolled her eyes playfully. "To me, I think she does."

I was about to say something else when I heard the door knock. I opened it and I saw Jihyun standing there with her eyes lightened up, just like what everyone told me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Tae, I broke up with Jungkook," she said, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"Okay, and?"

I was waiting for a response, but she just stood there in front of me with her eyes locking with mine. God was she the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.

Why wouldn't you love me back, Jihyun?

She then blinked once before she finally spoke up. "Taehyung, I-"

"Tae, who is it?"

Oh shit, Sojin.

I turned around to see Sojin approach us while wearing my shirt which was too big for her. I mentally facepalmed myself because I could see how this wouldn't turn out well.

"Oh my God, Jung Jihyun! Long time no see!!"

Jihyun put on her bitter smile on her face and waved a bit. "Nice to see you too, Kang Sojin."
