Jihyun

"What? You broke up with Sojin?!"

He nodded. "Yeah," he said. "It's still about the ex-boyfriend thing."

I pouted together with him. "Aw, man, that sucks. I'm sorry," I said. "You're still bothered by that?"

He shrugged. "I just can't afford to have anything else in my mind," he said. "I gotta stay focused, you know."

I sighed, then I patted him on the back to cheer him up before heading to the pantry to pour myself some coffee and also some for the sad, lonely Taehyung.

"I'm going to let you do anything for today," I said, causing him to chuckle, "as long it will cheer you up."

Not long after that, a guy approached us and said, "Hey, the artist has finished the drawing, thought you wanna see it."

Taehyung and I looked at the picture and let out a 'huh'. The drawing seemed awfully similar to someone we knew, but we couldn't tell who.

"Okay, give it to tech for facial recognition," Taehyung said and the guy nodded before he left.

"Who do you think that guy might be? You feel like he's familiar too, right?"

Taehyung curled up his lips, seeming to think of an answer. "All we know now is that the killer is definitely not a student like them, he's in mid 40s," he said. "I bet he's like a teacher or something."

I raised an eyebrow. "I don't think so. He must be more of a dentist."

"How sure are you, Detective Dumb Dumb?"

I rolled my eyes. "I'm 100% sure, stupid."

He then turned to me and I noticed a smirk slowly formed on his face. Oh shit. I know what that meant.

"Wanna make a bet?"

"No! No way," I said, shaking my head multiple times. "I always lost to you. I'm not gonna do it."

"You said that you're 100% sure. What's wrong with making a bet on it?" he asked. "Come on. You promised to cheer me up and this is how!"

I groaned. "Okay, fine," I said. "If he's really a dentist, I'm gonna have your fancy ass car for a month."

He chuckled. "That's a brave one," he said. "Alright, but if he's not, you're gonna have to go on a date with me."

What he said really caused me to burst into laughter. Did I hear him correctly?

"Me? Going on a date with you?"

He laughed too. "Oh, come on. I just broke up with a girl," he said. "I figured if I'm gonna make another move to another girl, at least I can do it with you first, you know, to test it out."

"You know I have a boyfriend, right?"

"I know, bro, don't worry," he said. "It's just gonna be a friendly date."

I shrugged. "Alright, if it's gonna cheer you up."

We then proceeded to go back to our own tasks. I was reading over a bunch of documents while Taehyung examined the evidences that we got so far. We looked at each other for once in a while as we burst into laughter knowing that both of us were nervous about the result of the facial recognition.

"Guys," the tech guys called, "we found him."

Taehyung looked at me over the shoulder and whispered, "You're gonna lose."

I rolled my eyes playfully, then headed to the tech room. There were four men in the room, looking closely at the same computer screen.

"So," I said, "what have we got?"

"His name is Min Yoongi. His face is registered in the database because we once took a mugshot picture of him when they arrested him for breaking and entering," he said. "He was last seen at Seoul National University."

We nodded and thanked the tech guy before we drove up to one of the most well-known university in South Korea. We headed to the dean's office fast and asked her about a man named Min Yoongi.

"Yes, Mr. Min is a professor here in SNU teaching dentistry," she said.

Taehyung then turned to me with a smirk. He quietly leaned closer and whispered, "Got'cha."
