"Okay, we've got to do this right this time."

"Pretty sure that if that night was the last of his dealing, we'd been pretty much fired," she said while chuckling. "You're positive that your CI isn't wrong about this right? This is a pretty isolated alley."

"Well, I mean, isn't this where drug dealing usually takes place?"

After a while, we finally saw a car driving up to the same place we were at and stopped a few mile in front of us. Well, there were a few cars actually. It turned out that there were two different gangs and they all went into a kind of abandoned storage building.

"That's pretty much crowded. Call for back up," I said and she nodded. "Let's go."

We then slowly approached the abandoned building and looked for a back door, which was apparently locked.

"What do we do? We're gonna get caught if we go in through the front door."

I looked for something that could open the back door without being noticed, but I got nothing. I looked up and saw a window that could be our way in.

"You're a former cheerleader, right?" I asked, causing Jihyun to raise an eyebrow. "Get on my shoulder and you should be able to go in through that window."

"But what about you?"

"Just lend me a hand after you get in."

Jihyun hesitated for a while and seemed to be thinking of another way to do it, but she also got nothing, so she went aboard with my plan. Luckily, it was a success.

We then started to hear voices of those man that were with Jaehyung. "You got the money?"

We couldn't see them but we could hear them more clearly as we got closer to the center of the building. We finally reached to a very narrow corridor that would lead us to them.

We took a peek as we reached to the end of the corridor and we had a clear vision of everyone. All of them were grown men with black outfit and some of them carried black bags. They were counting money as we speak.

Unfortunately, Jihyun accidentally stepped on a cracked wood, which made a sound that caused those men to be suspicious. One of them let his gun out and started to look around to find the source of the sound.

"Oh shit," I said as I dragged Jihyun away from them.

I found a door and went in despite not knowing what inside. We stood there quietly as I put my hand on Jihyun's mouth as the man was getting even closer to us.

While our hearts beating fast, worrying about the fact that he could find us and probably kill us, we also had our hearts beat as we realized that we were standing really closely in the middle of a 1 x 1 meter room. Our faces were so close we could barely breath.

I didn't know about her, but for some reasons this reminded of our kiss yesterday, our unexpected kiss.

As we drowned in our thoughts, we got snapped back to reality as a loud bang was heard outside.

"GANGNAM POLICE, FREEZE!!"

I kicked the door in front of us and pointed my gun to the man's face. "You heard them. Freeze."

---

"I can't believe we've just arrested 20 people in just one day."

"I know! We're amazing."

I was about to approach her desk while she was about to approach mine, so there was an awkward bump along the way. If I were to guess, the incident of us standing so close in a very small room reminded her of the kiss too.

"It's the kiss, Tae," she said, chuckling. "The kiss made it awkward."

"Wait, you guys kissed?!" Chaeyeon yelled out from afar. "Who kissed who?"

"Of course he kissed me. I knew he's been wanting me since the day we met," Jihyun said, obviously making fun of me.

I smacked her arm. "Yah, I did that to save our asses," I said, defending myself. "You're welcome, by the way."

"Whatever. How do we not make it awkward then?"

"I know," Seokjin said, approaching us from nowhere. "You two just have to kiss again and this time it has to be on purpose."

"What?! Why?!"

He laughed. "I'm serious," he said. "It's to release any sexual tension you probably have ever since the accidental kiss."

"Sexual tension? Are you joking? What is this, an enemies to lovers fanfiction?" she said before she and I laughed it off, thinking Seokjin's advice ridiculous, but both him and Chaeyeon looked at us seriously as if they were waiting for it to happen.

"Wait, are you for real?"

"Yes, I'm not kidding. Do it now."

We looked at each other and wondered the same thing, Are we actually doing this?

But at that time we felt like it would be just a harmless kiss and according to Seokjin, it could make the awkwardness disappear. So, without any more consideration, we captured our lips with each other's.

Huh, so that's what making out with Jung Jihyun felt like.

After a few seconds later, she broke off the kiss and laughed. "Dang, Tae, who knew you're such a great kisser?" she said, causing me to laugh too.

"Why, thank you m'lady. You're not bad either."

She then turned to Seokjin and patted his shoulder. "You were right, man. It feels normal again."

"See? Okay now how about you kiss me to return the favor?"

She scoffed and smacked his arm. "Gross, man," she said before packing up her things.

"You're gonna go now?" I asked and she nodded.

"It's late and I'm exhausted," she said while grabbing her coat and purse. She then turned to me and smiled. "I'll be going now."

"U-Um, yeah. I'll see you in the morning."

I unknowingly stared at her until she got into the elevator and was out of my sight. That's interesting.
