Chapter 5

Jihyun

I was about to wander around when I saw a man in front of me with a woman in his arms heading to an Italian restaurant. I think that was Min Jaehyung, the dealer.

"Jihyun, I'm so-"

"Shut up," I said, dragging Taehyung who just went out of the van to hide behind a car. "That's Min Jaehyung."

"Oh, wow he's late," he said. "What's the plan here?"

"Let's just follow them to the restaurant."

I was about to proceed with the plan when Taehyung grabbed my wrist. "Look at us, we look like cops," he said. "Do a little make over."

Taehyung took off his jacket and his badge and went back to the van to put on a fine shirt. He then told me to let my hair loose and unbutton some buttons on my shirt, so I did. I let my breasts out a bit and I noticed him check it out for a second, but I just laughed it off.

After that, we headed to the restaurant and somehow placed ourselves behind Min Jaehyung in the queue.

Oh shit he's armed.

"Congratulations on your anniversary, Sir and Ma'am," the waitress said to Jaehyung and his girlfriend. "Right this way."

After she came back, Taehyung told her that we needed a seat for two people, but unfortunately she said that for now the seats were all taken and that we had to wait.

He looked at me confusedly and I knew that he was worried that if we waited, Jaehyung might finish his dinner first.

The waitress was about to head back when I called, "Um, hi, Ma'am?"

"I'm sorry, Ma'am," she said, "but as I've told you before, we don't have any seats left."

"Y-Yeah, I know," I said, "but u-um tonight's my anniversary with this man right here and we just got engaged! It would really be disappointing if we couldn't spend our anniversary in a place where we had our first date at."

The waitress smiled while shaking her head. "Fine," she said. "We have some seats left in the bar. Would it be okay for you?"

"Yes! Thank you very much," I said, then we went to the bar and luckily, Jaehyung's table wasn't that far from us so we could still keep an eye on him. "Hey, sorry to spring the whole anniversary thing on you. I had to think of something and it just came up."

He chuckled. "It's fine. It was great though, you managed to give us a table."

Not long after that, our food came and we had to eat it even though I disliked western food such as Italian. Taehyung knew that I couldn't enjoy it, so he ordered a bowl of tomato soup for me.

He was about to say something when his gaze seemed to be distracted. He then stood up and said, "Jaehyung is heading to the toilet with a black bag in his hand. Would the dealing happen right now?"

"I don't know," I said as I also stood up. "Let's follow him."

"He's armed, right? We've got to be careful," he said. "We don't want for any shooting to happen."

We followed him to the alley where the restroom was supposedly located at. There was no one, so we wondered if he went inside the male restroom.

"Let's go in."

"It's a male restroom!" I said. "I can't go in there."

"You're a freaking cop, Jihyun," he said. "Come on, let's just go in."

We were about to head inside when the door was opened, revealing a confused Jaehyung. We were frozen as we had to come up with a reason why we were standing like idiots in front of the male restroom.

We knew we had to come up with something since he was holding his gun secretly. If we wanted to arrest him, we would have to catch him off guard.

Just as I was about to say something that came across my mind, Taehyung pulled me by the waist and put his lips on mine.

I widened my eyes as I was shocked by his sudden act. Before I could react to what the hell he was doing, he broke off the kiss and turned to Jaehyung.

"Hi, Sir, I apologize for the confusion," he said. "My girlfriend and I were just engaged and we wanted to do a little smooching."

Jaehyung chuckled. "I get it. Being in love as young people is the most beautiful thing you can get in life," he said. "Don't mind me. You can proceed on what you were doing."

We were, well at least I was, feeling a little awkward after the surprise kiss as we were wondering in our own thoughts that we didn't realize that Min Jaehyung had exited the door.

"Shit," he said. "We lost him."
