Chapter 3 - Blocked

MacKenzie's POV

Barry and Nora were out in the field going after a meta. I don't know why Barry didn't come and get me to help but I'd definitely have to talk to him about that later

"I think Nora is good to go." Caitlin says, walking in with Nora from the medbay. "She didn't even need an Ibuprofen."

"You sure you feel okay?" Barry asks her

"I'm totally okay." Nora says. "Come on, let's get back to work, Flash."

"Okay." Barry says. "All right, well let's figure out where Vanessa went. If she sells those stolen weapons to the wrong people I..."

"Um, Cisco, were you able to get the satellite up and running?" Iris asks him. He's completely zoned out. "Cisco?"

"We weren't able to track Vanessa, but we did find a scientific anomaly that we've never seen before, right, Cisco?" Caitlin says

Ralph motions for us to wait a second

"Han shot second." Ralph whispers to Cisco

"That doesn't even make sense." Cisco growls, popping up and grabbing Ralph's shirt. "Ralph, it's you." He realizes, letting go

"Sorry to lie like that, man." Ralph tells him. "We just we need the CCTV--"

"CCTV, yes." Cisco says. "Vanessa Jansen's concentrated air squares are dense very dense, stupid dense. The kind of dense reserved for people who still believe...In love."

"I think what Cisco is trying to say is that Vanessa can manipulate the movement of atoms to created concentrated air molecules in cube form." Caitlin says. "The space between the molecules is so compact that--"

"That there isn't enough room for a speedster to vibrate through them." Nora says

Cisco gets up and starts walking out, looking dead

"What do you call someone who can compress air molecules into solid blocks?" Barry asks as Cisco passes by him

"I don't know, Block." Cisco says, leaving the room

"So, I guess Cisco is still taking the Gypsy thing pretty hard?" Iris asks

I nod

"Well, we're working on it. But you can't expect real progress till you hit step 17." Ralph says

"It's this thing we're working on with Cisco." Caitlin says. "You can do without us for a little while, right?"

"I mean, we are blind without our satellite so we're just gonna have to wait until Vanessa makes her next move anyway." Barry says

Nora leaves the room

"Good." Caitlin says. "Come on, Mack."

"Actually, can I keep her for a little?" Barry asks

I look to Caitlin who smiles and nods

I nod

Caitlin and Ralph leave

"Are you gonna hang out here for a bit?" Barry asks Iris

"Actually, I am working on a lead." Iris says

"Huh." Barry says

"Can I use your lab? There's something I wanna follow up on." Iris says

"Yeah, of course." Barry says

"Okay." Iris says with a smile before leaving

"So, what're we gonna do?" I ask him with a smile
