MacKenzie's POV

I'm in my gym, doing back layout on the beam when Barry walks in

"Hey." I greet him, finishing my pose and looking over. "Got anything?"

"I hit a dead end at CCPD." Barry says

"Get over here." I tell him, sitting down on the beam facing him. Barry stands in front of me. "You know what I'm gonna say, right?"

"That I should keep working?" Barry suggests

"No." I tell him. "Your speech out there...was pathetic."

Barry looks at me

"What did you think you would accomplish by talking to him about his legacy?" I ask him. "He doesn't care one bit about that. However...he does care about his niece. When you talk to him as the Flash...you've already lost him."

"You're saying I should reveal my identity to him?" Barry asks

"No." I say. "I'm saying you should reveal your humanity to him. Are you a superhero with superspeed that fights bad guys? Yes. But you're also Barry Allen: human, husband, and father of two."

"That's good advice." Barry says. "I'll go think of something."

Barry turns to leave but I stop him

"Um, where do you think you're going?" I ask him

He turns to face me

"To CCPD?" Barry says

"Where you hit your last mental block?" I say. "Get up here." I say, standing up

"Ooo, I'm not too sure about that." Barry says

"Just come on." I say, grabbing his hand

Barry steps on the mat and then lets go of my hands, grabbing onto the beam and wobbling the entire way up

He looks down at his feet, positioning them on the beam and almost falling off a few times

I watch him

"Look straight ahead." I tell him

He looks at me with his arms out to the side in hopes to steady himself

"Chest up." I tell him and he straightens up fast and then almost falls over

"This...is hard." Barry says, wobbling

"It was not meant to be done in converse." I tell him with a laugh

"Ha ha." Barry mocks, wobbling on his feet again. He takes a step forward before falling to the side and onto the mat. He stands up and looks at me. "This...is scary."

"It's human." I tell him. I straighten up and put my arms above my head, doing a back walkover and landing perfectly. "The more you do it, the better you get at it. Now, you've done your Barry Allen speeches for years, it's muscle memory. Appeal to his humanity and trust yourself."

Barry watches me do another back walkover and land perfectly

He smiles at me

His phone rings and it's Joe

"I'll be right back." Barry says and he speeds out

"So le petit Dwyer is a meta." Sherloque says, summing up what Barry told us in the cortex

"Wait, I thought we scanned Grace for meta powers when Nora entered her brain." Caitlin says

"We did but that was back when her DNA was 100% human." I say
