The wooden barrel of her shot gun slid across her soft skin as she held it out in front of her and peered though the small scope, testing her accuracy before hooking her arm through the strap and allowing it to hang from her right shoulder. Next, she reached for her hunting pistol, wiping the cold metal with a rag and ensuring the safety was on before pushing it into the back of her jeans. She was going to win this fight no matter what.

Her skin was covered in beads of sweat that encouraged the leather strap of her shot gun to rub across her freckles, leaving red marks across the surface of her body. It was most definitely the hottest day they had had in a long while, and although it was much needed it was highly unloved by many - including Daryl.

The male hunter stud against the old, mud covered jeep with his arms crossed over his muscled chest. His treasures crossbow lay next to him, leaning against the wheel as he waited impatiently to leave the 'safety' of Alexandria and head towards the horde that awaited them. Lou smirked as she watched him kick at the first below.

"Thought you woulda been out already on your motorcycle" she stated, adjusting the bow she had draped over her torso.

He turned to face her, unaware of her presence until she had spoken "Waitin' for Rick" he took a step towards her and placed his palm against the back of the vehicle "You ready?"

"As I'll ever be" she smirked as Rick approached the two. His grey shirt hung over his hips and a pistol sat neatly tucked into the holder at his side. "Besides, it's just a run through right?"

"Right. Everyone aware of the plan? Good. Lou you're with me" he stated rather quickly, nodding at Daryl before quickly pulling open the driver side door and hoisting himself into the seat. "Let's go"

For a second she stood their, mouth wide. Completely shocked that he had the audacity to order her around. Every inch of her being wanted to scream at him, to tell him where he could stick his orders but instead, she went against her instincts and reluctantly got into the passenger seat of the jeep and waited for him to pull out of Alexandria.

The hot interior of the vehicle only added to the discomfort of the journey as it slowly burnt through the material of her jeans and irritating her thighs. It wasn't until the seats had adjusted to the temperature of her body that Rick spoke.

"Lets get one thing straight. I don't like you. I don't like your snarky attitude, I don't like the way you play with others and I definitely don't trust you" he snarled at her, never once taking his eyes off the road "So you if you dare go as far as to mess this plan up and hurt the people that I do trust - you can bet your ass you won't make it back to Alexandria. Do I make myself clear?"

"Whoa" she breathed slightly taken back by his rant "Rick-"

"I said. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes" she snapped back at the former police officer before turning slightly in her seat "But let me get one thing clear Rick. You will never be in-charge of me"

This has to be my favorite chapter I've written guys!

I'm loving the start of Rick and Lou's relationship.

Please don't forget to comment and heart.
