Encounter

Chapter 7

Beam's pov:

Before i realised, it was already the end of the week. Today is the last day of our agreement. And I'm more than sure about my feelings.

Forth has morning shift today so I'm planning on taking him for a small picnic in the afternoon after his shift ends.

I asked mom to make some food for us. I already told her about Forth and she can't wait to see him.

My parents are very open minded people. They don't care what gender my partner is as long as I'm hapoy with them.

I went to pick up Forth at his place at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon. He said his shift finishes at 3 so i gave him an hour so he could freshen up and change.

When i got there Forth was already waiting outside his place. The moment he saw my car, his face instantly lit up.

He was wearing the black hoodie, jeans and red converse i had bought for him two days ago. I had noticed that all his clothes and shoes looked old so for two days ago i took him to the mall to buy new clothes and shoes for him.

At first he refused, but after a lot of convincing he finally caved in. He didn't let me buy a lot though. I made sure to buy from the best boutiques and shoe stores so i can be sure they would last for a long time. Atleast until i can buy him new ones again.

After he got in, he quickly typed on his phone.

Where are we going today?

He looked really excited.

So cute!

"We're going on a picnic to the beach today." I pointed to the basket in the backseat.

His eyes widened and he smiled brightly.

He's a lot more relaxed around me now. He smiles more and sometimes even asks for somethings which catch his attention. Although thats very rare. And the things he asks for are very small cheap things like sketchbook or pencils. But i buy them for him anyway.

We reached the beach Forth usually goes to during his free days. Atleast the ones before he met me.

Forth took the basket from the backseat and we went near the rocks where i first confessed my feelings.

I spread the blanket and we sat there staring at the horizon in comfortable silence for a while before i heard Forth's stomach grumble.

I turned to him and he was clutching his stomach and blushing a deep red.

Oh my god... Can you get any cuter?

"You want to eat?" I asked.

He looked at me embarrassed and nodded slowly.

I chuckled and opened the basket. The moment he saw the food in it his eyes lit up.

He looked at me.

Did you make these?

"No. My mom made them." I smiled.

He looked at me surprised.

"Yup she knows about you. She doesn't mind. She actually can't wait to meet you." I said.

Before he could type anything his stomach grumbled again.

He looked down at the ground. Even his ears were red.

I barely held in my laughter.

I quickly took some plates from the basket and took out the food.

He took some sandwiches and started eating them.After the first bite, he paused and stared at it.

Then i noticed his eyes were getting teary.

"Hey what's wrong? Do you not like it?" i asked worriedly.

He shook his head.

It's been years since i have had anything homemade. It's really good. Thank you.

I stared at the text for a while before looking at him.

Tears were streaming down his face but he was smiling.

"Don't worry from now on you will be able to eat many homemade meals." I gently wiped his tears with my hand.

He nodded.

After we ate the sandwiches and other things mom had prepared, i reached into the basket again.

Forth was looking at me curiously.

I slowly took out the small chocolate cake i asked mom to bake.

His face instantly brightened when he saw it. He even jumped a little.

"Mom bakes the best cakes." I smiled.

He ate more than half the cake happily.

By the time we finished, the sun was already setting.

"Today is the last day of the week we had agreed on." I said after a while.

He flinched and looked down with a sad expression.

"I'm more than sure about my feelings now." I stared at him.

He looked like he was about to cry.

"I love you." I smiled.

He turned to look at me with a surprised expression.

"I want to date you."

"Will you?"

He typed on his phone.

I want to be with you. I feel comfortable and safe when I'm with you. I'm not sure if it's love but the thought of not being able to see you hurts.

I smiled widely when i read the text.

"It's ok we can take it slow. For now I'm happy that you want to be with me. Even if you don't love me now, I'll make you fall for me."

"So will you go iut with me?"

He nodded with a smile on his face.

I couldn't hold it anymore and jumped on him causing him to fall on his back. I wrapped my arms around him tightly.

"YESSS!!" I screamed.

He wrapped his arms around me as well and started laughing.

I froze when i heard that sound. I put some distance between us and stared at him. He immediately stopped laughing and his expression changed to a scared one.

"That was so beautiful. I want to hear that sound more in the future ok?" I said.

His expression brightened and he nodded happily.

When i dropped him off at his place he looked really happy. He even skipped a little while going in.

I was so happy when i went to my place.

I'm finally dating him!
