Forth's pov:
P'Mark and i were discussing about how to make prototypes. He was showing me how to sew normal days to day clothes before moving on to the more complicated designs.
I listened to everything he said intently. When i tried at first it didn't go very well but i managed to get the hang of it by the 4th try. I was able to sew a simple skirt easily.
"You're a fast learner. Good job." P'Mark smiled proudly and patted my head.
I felt really happy. I rarely every get compliments much less a pat on my head.
"Oh! It's already 7! We still haven't had dinner. Let's go." Het got up and walked out of the room.
I followed close behind. I sat on one of the stools near the counter while he started cooking.
"I ran out of salt. Dammit! Now i have to go down and buy salt from the store!" He looked at the salt container.
I stood up and walked closer to him.
I'll go buy it.
"You sure?"
I nodded.
"Ok let me go get my wallet." He walked back to the workroom and came back with his wallet. He handed me some cash.
"There's a convenience store two blocks from here. You can buy it from there."
Yeah. I saw it when we came here.
"Good. Don't take too long. Oh and you can buy a snack for yourself with the remaining money."
I nodded and headed to the elevator.
After i got off the elevator, i walked out and went towards the store.
It was a little dark since there are not a lot of streetlights.
I was a little nervous but i kept walking looking straight ahead.
I was almost at the store when i heard a voice behind me that made my blood run cold.
"So this is where you've been hiding..."
I slowly turned around and saw him standing there with an angry expression on his face.
"You're one ungrateful brat. You dared to run away from me after i gave you everything." He slowly stepped forward.
With each step he took towards me i took one back.
My palms were sweating and my body was shaking badly.
Stop shaking! You trained yourself so you can protect yourself! Don't be a coward now!
I tried calming myself down but my body refused to listen.
The memories of the time when i lived with him were replaying in my head. And the day i had decided i couldn't take it anymore after that incident occured.
My phone ringing snapped me out of my thoughts.
It was p'Mark.
"Hey David! You're finally here! Took you long enough!" I heard someone calling him.
He turned towards the voice. "Yeah! Give me a second!"
He turned back to me and glared. "I'll be back. And I'll make sure you come back to where you should be."
With that he turned and left.
I realised my phone was still ringing so i quickly picked it up.
